We wanted to try out the restaurant for a larger business lunch after a hike.Although the restaurant was only very sparsely occupied because one half was cordoned off and the very large tables were only occupied by individual guests, we were directed to the outside area. The question of whether one could sit down somewhere was also answered in the negative.We were also not served in the outdoor area, which had the charm of a furnished parking lot, even though there were only a few guests sitting there.The regulars who were sitting near us also had to wait longer. They said that new guests are more often treated the way we were (we've eaten there at various business lunches, which is why we didn't feel like "new people"!) They only came because of the cake. Without him they wouldn't come anymore.We don't recommend it, even though we come from the immediate area. There will definitely not be another visit, not even with our business friends. We would embarrass ourselves.About the location: The outdoor area is parallel to the parking lot. Directly on the main road in Erling below the monastery.Far from any public transport. A bus runs during the monastery's opening hours.

We were traveling through Italy and discovered the Bernhardhof completely by chance. From the outside we thought it was “just” a café and we were proven wrong. The food was simply fantastically delicious and there was so much attention to detail... we hadn't had such a fine meal in a long time... we felt very comfortable 👍🙏

An incredibly beautiful evening in August 2024! The food was very fine and excellently prepared. The wine... excellent advice! We got the recommendation for a Chabli and enjoyed it. Very fine! After a short conversation, a Schreckbichl was brought out of the cellar. At the end the boss came out of the kitchen! We would like to thank you for a wonderful evening! Don't forget the dessert wine. We definitely recommend the Bernhardshof!

We have been coming here 1-2 times a year for over 10 years for short vacations (2-3 nights) and family celebrations. The H. family does unsurpassed work with their personal commitment and attention to quality. We travel a lot and far, but we've never been bored here and the rest of the world doesn't compare so well. In the kitchen, culinary delights are created at the highest level. Whatever is not produced in-house comes from local sources and is of great quality. The owners and their team make sure that (we) feel at home - only with better food, no washing up or making beds.If you want to experience Bavarian hospitality and cuisine at the next level, you should put the Bernhardhof at the top of your list. It's not a competition but if you don't come back it's your own fault.With many thanks to the entire H. family.

Great Bavarian Inn close to the monastery and its brewery. The service is warm and friendly, the food imaginative and reasonable. Frozen steins serve Abbey beer. The garden has herbs that serve the kitchen. All in all as nice a spot as you’ll find in the Ammersee.

No empathy for customers. Firm refusal to serve me any food because I arrived at 8:25 p.m., even a dessert, ham, cheese... I was just able to drink while watching the starters of other customers arrive! FYI, I was on a bike and this restaurant is far from anywhere to find food

We took a little trip to Andechs to escape the noisy Tutzingen town center.Attracted by Grandma Rosi's cakes, we decided on the terrace of the Bernhardhof in Andechs at the foot of the Holy Mountain.A nice, quiet place behind the house invited you to linger.We chose the Daubeer (blueberry) yoghurt cake and a café au lait and an elderberry spritzer which was refreshing and not sweet.The cake was light and fresh and went well with the hot day. The service was friendly and attentive.We had a pleasant, enjoyable stay and will be happy to come back for dinner after getting to know each other.

This review is for the restaurant only. We visited the restaurant on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty much empty. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we got everything we needed. My friends and spouse were very happy with their drinks and food and continued to rave about the schnitzel for days after. I am vegetarian so the options were limited for me. I got the fried asparagus and was still pretty hungry after, so I took off a star just for the limited meatless options. Other than that, everything was great!

We took a break here on the motorbikes and enjoyed very good coffee and cake. The service was exceptionally good, the landlord opened earlier especially for us. Top quality, top service, we will definitely come back and have petrol talks with the landlord :-)

After an initial misunderstanding (the boss thought I was a drunk who had treated himself to a few pints in the nearby monastery. My outfit wasn't appropriate either ;-))Once that was sorted out, I was able to sit down and lean back. What was offered to me then far exceeded my expectations. The beer from the nearby monastery in the stoneware mug was perfect. Then I was given home-baked bread with beer butter and then there was a small, very tasty vegetable soup. The main course was 2 really large pieces of Wiener Schnitzel with our own potato salad, which was the best I've ever eaten. I was really full! The innkeeper is Bavarian rough but very nice. The girl in service was really polite and accommodating. All of this was worth every euro.

By far the best thing we have experienced so far. A suite that leaves nothing to be desired. Very nicely decorated with subtle colors. Great sleeping comfort. The size of the suite is hard to beat. Really everything furnished with a lot of love. The food in the restaurant, in the house, at its finest. The breakfast was incredibly rich. You have to experience it to be believed. And we will definitely come back. Thank you for this beautiful ambience, the delicious food and the warm hospitality.
