As a wedding photographer, I have been able to accompany several weddings at Höhenried Castle. Both civil weddings and free or church weddings. I can recommend Höhenried Castle 100%! The facility is very beautiful and well-kept, several rooms offer different options for your celebration, you can stay overnight on site, and the catering from Gentscher Gourmet is always top! As a photographer, I especially appreciate the opportunity to take beautiful photos even in rainy weather - both indoors and outdoors. A free wedding ceremony on the large terrace or in the beautiful rose garden is a dream. But even indoors in the rain, we have already accommodated 100 guests for the wedding. Today we went to Höhenried Castle. There was a creative market there. I have to say, great unusual things. No matter whether it was jewelry (in abundance), woodwork or many other beautiful products. It was a bit of a shame that we didn't see more of the castle, but what we saw was impressive. The huge gardens alone, all the way to Lake Starnberg. Everything to explore. The white deer, the old trees. Absolutely worth seeing. Oh, there is also a rehabilitation center run by the German pension insurance on this site

I was able to attend a free wedding this year and am very excited about this location! The service staff was also very friendly and immediately recommended a few nice spots for me to take photos. Gladly again! :)

We visited to walk around the park, lake, and feed the white deers. The setting was beautiful even at dusk. We went through the lift gate by pushing the button for a parking ticket then parked next to the Schloss then walked around. We fed the deers (10 cents gets you food dispenser to feed them), walked to the lake dock, then walked back up through the castle. We spent about an hour then the entry ticket got us out the lift gate with no payment. 🤗 Highly recommend.

Since we spent a night nearby and wanted to see something else, we chose the castle. What we didn't know beforehand was that the castle is on or belongs to a hospital site and no dogs are allowed on the hospital site. So no castle for us that day. That's really a pity.

Super nice place to visit, just don't let the barrier at the entrance to the clinic put you off. In addition to the castle, there is a beautiful park on the premises of the Höhenried Clinic with many art objects, an enclosure with white deer and great, smaller and medium-length hiking trails through beautiful nature and along the lake. Parking fees are only due for 4 hours or more and there is always enough time to enjoy a coffee in the castle with a wonderful view of Lake Starnberg.Particularly amazing: a stroll through the avenue of ancient oaks!
