Unfortunately, the return journey did not take place in the Watt wagon, as announced, but in a tractor-drawn covered wagon.Rooms, service and location are top. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We spent a wonderful weekend here. The staff are very warm and accommodating, the cuisine is excellent. The rooms are super modern and comfortably furnished and extremely clean. We didn't miss anything - highly recommended!

We rode our horses from Sahlenburg to Neuwerk and planned one night and spent one unplanned night with the Fock family.I was super satisfied. We were looked after first class. We had to spend another night on the island because the water level was too high and despite the spontaneity, we were well looked after for another day. The kitchen conjures up a fabulous meal. And the horses also felt right at home in the clean, huge boxes.The staff was super friendly.

The food was unspectacular but completely okay. It doesn't always have to be something special.Waiting for a single person for a dish that takes a maximum of 10 minutes to prepare but almost an hour is absolutely not okay. The waitress was there once to take the order and once there to serve the dish. Unfortunately this has nothing to do with service. I would have liked some information when a catastrophe in the kitchen delayed everything.The food was absolutely OK and the service could be improved.I wish you all the best and just hope I had a bad day. Happens to the best.

We hiked from Sahlenburg to Neuwerk through the mudflats and spent a night with the Fock family in the hay hotel. We were absolutely thrilled with both the island and the hotel. Simply a great place to just switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet. We'll definitely be back! :)

We stayed in the old fisherman's house on Neuwerk again.Much to our delight, we arrived in the Watt wagon. The luggage was brought over to the island by tractor and we were able to check in immediately.A nice, large apartment with a view over the dike.The welcome from the Fock family and their team was very warm, we chatted for a bit and updated each other.During our stay we were looked after wonderfully and warmly.Mr. Fock's food (the boss cooks himself 😍) was very varied and always delicious. The breakfast buffet was always rich and varied.His fried potatoes are my husband and our daughter's favorite.Unfortunately we had to leave yesterday after our 14-day stay because school starts again on Monday.We all had a “little tear” in our eyes as we said goodbye and are looking forward to the next visit with the Fock family and their team.

Didn't stay overnight, just ate. The pan fish was overly seasoned and fried. The fried potatoes were very greasy, but still okay. There was almost no salad and the mustard sauce didn't go well with the fish. Still 4 stars from me because the service was very attentive and nice. Overall it was still nice.

Three of us had booked an overnight stay in a straw camp with food.We arrived on a mudflat hike and the luggage was transported by the staff from the old fisherman's house. When we got there our luggage was ready. We were able to check in without any problems. We were shown our place to stay overnight, the hay storage, and it was explained to us who else was staying with us as guests.We left in the Watt wagon and the staff from the old fisherman's house took over the luggage transport. When we arrived back on the mainland, our luggage was ready again.The food was very good.The service was also great; if you had any questions, you were able to help quickly and easily.Great care was taken to ensure that everything ran smoothly and well. Once again praise for the service.We can only speak well about the staff and the old fisherman's house.It is highly recommended that everyone book such a tour with an overnight stay.The barbecue buffet we booked was very rich and tasted great. There was something for everyone.The breakfast buffet was rich and good.Thank you for the lovely stay with you on the farm.

I don't understand some people who give such bad reviews and such poor criteria here. In any case, I'm completely satisfied, otherwise I wouldn't go there again. But I'm always happy when I can relax there once a year and have done so for five years now, since I retired. I can be found there again in August 2024.👋👍😁

Very large, exceptionally clean and quiet room with sea views. There is also a modern, very well-kept bathroom. This was a really good way to switch off during the short break on Neuwerk. Food was tasty and plentiful, breakfast too.

As a regular hotel guest in thisHotel on the island of Neuwerk, I can't say anything negative. When I read some comments where the staff are portrayed as unfriendly and impolite, I can't confirm that. The staff, which consists of 95% foreign citizens or foreigners, is always friendly and has a smile on their faces. It tries to understand and speak German, which of course doesn't always work.And you always have to say "just as it echoes into the forest, it echoes out again." Anyone who writes a negative comment should first think about how polite they were.
