The youth hostel is ideally located. It's a bit out of the way, the children can move around freely and let off steam on the grounds and it's only about 15 minutes to the beach.Prerow and Zingst are easy to reach on foot or by bus.The program offered is varied and my students had a lot of fun.The rooms are extremely comfortable for a youth hostel and all have bathrooms.The manager has a heart for the children but also has everything well under control.We will definitely come back!

Really nasty staff. We asked here for the way to Zingst and were then directed to the path along Prerower Strom with bikes. Unfortunately it was extremely impassable and there was no way inland... then we had to wade through a ditch with our bikes. THANKS! Definitely worth boycotting with people like this!

This school trip was great. The accommodation is suitable for students, the food is delicious, the hosts are always responsive. There is also a program for students and teachers that is consistent and fun. Thanks

We have been coming to Prerow for many years as part of a large group of clubs and friends for Men's Day and once again we really enjoyed it there. A big thank you to Christa & Peter - the owners of the “Hertesburg” as well as the entire team including the kitchen crew, the carpenters and the caretaker. We particularly like the holiday property because of its great, quiet location with many opportunities to do sports (bicycle tours, volleyball, football, table tennis, paddle boats, etc.). The owners Christa & Peter are happy to help with planning and carrying out excursions and always gave us good tips. The campfire rounds in the evening. Stick bread were very nice and always a lot of fun. The meals in the morning and evening were very tasty and prepared with love. Thank you Christa for the great fish pot, the rooms are practical and clean. We would be happy to come back for Men’s Day in 2023. Warm greetings from Leipzig from Simona & Lutz

Carefree package!Breakfast and dinner where you don't miss anything and which tastes very delicious. Room spacious and clean. Whether it's bread on sticks around the campfire, a paddling tour on the Prerower Strom or a bike ride to the Weststrand, there is the best equipment for everything here.Thanks to the Herbert parents who show so much love and passion. We always like to come back.

We have been a senior seminar group (+80) for a few days at Hertesburg for many years. The Lüders family takes care of your physical well-being and is organizedalso excursions on the Darß. I've gotten to know many youth hostels, but I didn't like any of them as much as this one! The surrounding area is wonderfully beautiful and quiet, away from traffic. Mr. and Mrs. Lüder are extremely nice, warm-hearted, helpful and humorous. There was delicious home-cooked food every day, which we and the children really enjoyed. The rooms and bathrooms were very well maintained, as was the entire hostel. The leisure program on offer, which is also included, was perfectly organized and tailored precisely to the children's interests! Thank you very much for the wonderful week! We would like to come again!

I got to know the hostel while accompanying me on a school trip and was thrilled. The hostel parents and the rest of the staff were really nice. For small problems there was always an immediate solution. The leisure options were optimal, from volleyball courts to campfire sites, boat and bicycle rentals, games for young and old, everything was there. The beach wasn't far away and the food was great. Big praise to the whole team, I would like to come back at any time.

I think the hostel is good so far, the rooms are well divided and are a bit small, but it's still okay. The staff was very friendly and helped with problems. The food was tasty so far, but I would like there to be a plan where the current meal is displayed or there are two meals in case you don't eat one meal. The location of the hostel is too remote from the nearest town for me. The area has a lot to offer, such as swimming in the Baltic Sea, a visit to the lighthouse or a visit to the Oceaneum in Stralsund.

Everyone was very unfriendly and unfortunately I don't have anything good to say about this hostel. The rooms smelled when I arrived and you couldn't do anything there because everything was broken or you just got dirty if you walked on it. Unfortunately far too expensive and not worth the money.

A very, very remote hostel on the Baltic Sea, I was there recently with my class, it was very quiet and quiet, there were many leisure activities on offer. You could go on a lot of excursions from there, i.e. there were lots of things to visit nearby. The landlady/landlord/caretaker was very helpful and very nice (both to children and adults). In general, a very nice stay 😎👋🏻.

A very nice place, very quiet and secluded and with lots of nature around it, a wonderful atmosphere when the children have fun and run around the beautiful grounds. The rooms are really cool with the spaces in between, but could be improved as some bathrooms don't have a shower, but otherwise I would have liked to stay forever.

The hostel at Hertesburg is primarily a hostel for children and youth groups. I am very happy that there is still such a nice hostel for our holiday camp groups and my class.Christa and Peter Lüder run the hostel with a lot of dedication and love. They have an open ear for children and young people and a shoulder to lean on when everything becomes too much for the carers/teachers. I am very grateful to them for supporting me for 6 years of summer camp. The food is excellent and child-friendly. Our kids are well known for eating the same amount of chicken fricassee in groups of 50 that would otherwise be enough for groups of 100. (Thanks Christa ^^)The hostel is on the Prerower Strom about 800 m from the northern beach of the Darß. This is particularly great for groups of children, as we have peace and quiet and kids know on their own that it doesn't do much good to leave the area.The kids can move around safely and freely on the grounds and have the opportunity to play football, basketball, volleyball or table tennis. You can use the playgrounds and the hostel always has balls and other toys to borrow. There are also canoes and bicycles available to rent on site, which we always like to use.
