Rooms good, food selection great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately our party was crashed at 8:30 p.m. (before night time) by a pissed off service employee.

The big minus is the room. Ground floor 5 m from the street (uphill, so cars drive past loudly). You book with the smell of exhaust fumes in the room with the window open. At the same time, a closed window is unbearable because the heat is oppressive. The building does not appear to be well insulated. Even at midnight, the room heats up again in a very short time after closing the window. Guests also smoke outside the room. That also makes noise and stinks. The DJH did not provide any notice of omission. The food was again a dream. The team is also nice. Overall moderate. Would rather not come back.

In the future I will prefer a hotel. For a hotel room you get beds made up, towels and service for the same price. Price/performance is no longer right...

Very nice, modern youth hostel with medieval building elements (historic fountains, foundation walls) close to the cathedral. Clean rooms, decent food, nice staff, indoor leisure options in bad weather, otherwise definitely explore the city!

Booked from Friday to Monday. Parents with child (10).According to the menu, dinner was missing a vegetarian component, so we skipped it.The view from the room was fantastic towards the cathedral.Breakfast on Saturday was brilliant with variety and organic selection. Unfortunately, the deep descent was on Sunday and Monday. No more eggs. No more whole grain bread etc. The dishes were colorful but old and scratched. The patronizing of the seats was absolutely disgraceful, as these were assigned to people using place signs. Hence the discount with the stars here

The youth guesthouse was the best we have booked with DJH so far. Very clean, new and very good breakfast like in a hotel. It is well located. Short walk to the old town and a bus stop in front of the door. Therefore very easy to reach by public transport.

The room was liveable at best, and the food was an absolute nightmare, the dinner is completely inedible, and while the rooms do have a nice view they are dirty and uncomfortable

Hello, this is Lilly and Leonie from grade 9a. We were guests in the youth hostel for a whole school week. We started with the arrival and were greeted in a friendly manner by a guy with a perfect nose, he explained to us the rules and the quiet time, which is at 10 p.m. (which no one followed anyway ((not even our teacher XD)). We We had a triple room, you could compare it to a storage room, you have to say the rooms were very tidy but the other rooms were nicer... well, for the leisure room you have the opportunity to play table football or table tennis, despite the fact that a boy from mine Great, I mistook the Billiat table for a bowling alley and the ball broke, the rounds of table football that I played against a friend and won 12:1 were really great ;). Now first for breakfast, it was great, there was a lot to choose from and the food was of good quality and was very tasty. Monday is veggie day, which wasn't great... but the rest of the week the food was very, very good, especially the curry sausage and the burger. You are given a lot of free time - you are only told that after the night's rest you can be in the common room, for example, but you should be quiet and afterwards you should turn off the lights and close the windows. What I also thought was great was that you could refill your water bottle at any time downstairs in the reception area. Yippiiii. LG

A very well-kept and clean house, large rooms with more comfort than we expected. If you don't know the street noise from home, you should definitely bring ear plugs with you. Breakfast was great, dinner was tasty, big praise and thanks to the chef, who really loves his job and is not lazy.The city center is a stone's throw away, parking options are very limited due to the location, but the friendly staff always have insider tips.Please keep it up!

Parking by car is hardly possible in Bamberg. We therefore recommend arriving by car.
