Our girls have been going to the Scheel pony farm at least once a year for several years now. Now my friends also like to go along. They love being there, know all the ponies by name and will keep booking there for as long as they can. The food is good, there are other animals besides the ponies (rabbits, goats & cats) and the play barn and the entire area offer a lot of variety. The highlight is actually that each child gets their own pony for the duration and they really spend a lot of time with the horse with morning rides, quadrille training and afternoon rides. It's primarily about having fun with the horses and having wonderful holiday experiences. Riding lessons are NOT the main focus, but of course the children get better each time. ;-) There is a family atmosphere. Anyone who knows riders also knows the charming, rough tone that occasionally prevails at every riding stable. The shouts are not always directed at the riding children, but also at the ponies ;-) You should be able to tolerate that and be able to distinguish between them. We're not talking about a 5-star hotel with all-round entertainment, but rather a holiday on a rustic "farm" where children can still be children and there is a lot to discover. Since the first time I've had the feeling that our girls are in very good hands there and every time I pick up a bunch of girls who are already planning their next stay. :-)

I've been going there for 5 years and I'm always really looking forward to it starting again because we do so much off-road riding and also use the faster paces.There are various rides, one to the North Baltic Sea Canal, one in a spruce forest, one in a normal forest, one in a very cool field where we always dash across. In the evenings we always ride to ponds where we dash across another field in small groups.Overall, always the best week of the year.

Arrival for a week takes place on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Before we start, I like to go with my family to the chip stand on the Kiel Canal where we eat with friends and talk a bit... (It's 5 minutes by car from the farm)Once everyone has arrived at the pony farm, the ponies will be distributed around 5 p.m. As soon as everyone has their pony, they go on a little evening ride where they get used to their pony…The next day breakfast is at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 the ponies are picked up from the pasture for the 2 1/2 hour morning ride.At 12:00 p.m. we have lunch and we have cell phone time until 2:00 p.m. Afterwards a quadrillia is prepared which we show to our parents on the day of departure.The evening ride takes place at 5:00 p.m.During the rides you are divided into groups of 1-4, who go for the canter depending on their performance and pony. We then race across the fields in groups. Even if we don't ride, we have a great time there. There are baby cats, rabbits and guinea pigs in the summer, all of which you can pet and cuddle with. There is also a games barn where you can play.

The children love the pony farm. Nadine is great and always approachable. Of course, Hauke has to be strict at times, with so many children and in combination with an animal weighing an average of 200kg, it is important that the children listen to him and do so immediately. The location is very nice and the food is excellent. Would like to give more stars!

Our daughter is always very excited. The rooms are very clean, the food tastes very good and Nadine and Hauke are very nice. So great pony farm, everything was great!

We have 2 children and have already tried out many pony farms (holiday club Popcorn, Ponyhof Hagedorn, Ponyhof Reuter and Reiterhof Heinkenstruck). But only since we found Ponyhof Scheel have our children felt completely at home. On the one hand, this is due to the family atmosphere, and on the other hand, because the children are divided into suitable groups depending on their ability level. The children are divided into 4 to 6 bed rooms. It's not a 5-star hotel, but the rooms are mostly furnished with IKEA furniture, the sanitary facilities are always clean and there are enough showers. There is also a cozy lounge with games and books for the holiday children! Our children have hardly used it at all, as they usually play games in a group in the evenings. We always take your wishes about who you would like to share a room with into account. The children have already made some friends there. So they arrange to meet other children they met there during certain holiday weeks. In total we have been there 16 times in all seasons (whole holiday weeks or just long weekends). As a mother, I think it's good that the owner of the pony farm, Mr. Scheel, is always present and was able to avoid many dangerous situations right from the start by making clear announcements in the sometimes lively groups. The ponies are always distributed on the first day. Each child is assigned a pony that is the right size and also matches the child's ability level. Ms. Jaworski is the soul of the pony farm, her little dogs are legendary and she has an open ear for all concerns. Last but not least: The children like the atmosphere and the food at Ponyhof Scheel!Travel time from HH-Stellingen: 40 minutes.Conclusion: Recommended!

Our daughter went to the Scheel pony farm for the first time for her 8th birthday. This was followed by trial weekends, long weekends and also many weekly stays during the school holidays. We always have a good feeling that we are leaving you in good hands!!! As an adult, she will definitely often talk about her unforgettable pony farm holidays :-) Now our daughter is 11 and we are already planning the next holidays in Steenfeld for 2022. She loves being there incredibly much and is also happy to take part in the weekly riding lessons. Thanks to the Scheel family and their entire team for carefree, great times - for parents and children ;-) Whatever you are, you are exactly right - KEEP UP!!!
