Absolutely disappointing and overpriced breakfast: dry and not crispy rolls, few toppings...expensive coffee has to be ordered separately. Fruit and tomato pieces bland... Not recommended!

The house is very beautiful. I was raved about Café Heldt. I was totally disappointed. No cakes with buttercream, just cream. Must be chosen at the counter. I chose pear chocolate. You get a number that you hand in at your seat with your drink order. Conclusion: piece of cake very small and without any real taste. The cappuccino was a total disappointment. The foam dissolved happily and a small amount of cappuccino remained. I paid almost 8 euros for it. I'm going somewhere else.

An old traditional house with nice service. Great breakfast selection at normal prices. Cozy good. The back part is quieter, the front part is lively with a nice view of the market square. Every breakfast includes fresh pieces of fruit and fresh vegetables for topping.

We were there in the afternoon on vacation, unfortunately there wasn't much choice (anymore?), but the not-quite-favorite cake tasted good. Unfortunately, the service staff seemed quite overwhelmed during our visit; I suspect: understaffed, therefore an unmanageable amount of work, hence a bad mood, which unfortunately the guests felt. On the one hand I felt sorry for the lady, but on the other hand it is of course not professional to be harsh on people who want to order or pay. The (probably justified!) frustration belongs to the boss, not the customer. We would try it again another time when we are there again on holiday. Maybe it will be better then. The atmosphere is definitely worth it – a “real café” just like it used to be.

Unfortunately the quality of the rolls has deteriorated.The service could be more attentive and not wait to be spoken to but take action.Instead of camembert I had mold cheese and the jam was completely missing.Definitely room for improvement!But then it worked 😉

Very tasty cake and good coffee! The price is okay, although €5.40 for a small pot of coffee is already very high…We were here at peak time, the staff was a bit confused at times due to the flood of visitors, but they compensated for this with a lot of charm.

We visited Café Heldt several times during our holiday in Eckernförde, a few times for lunch and once for breakfast, and were always very impressed by both the quality of the food and the friendly service. The regional offerings are totally fresh, very tasty and perfectly prepared. 👍The interior of the café is something very special, in the old style, at the same time noble and very cozy. How nice that something like this still exists!

Firstly, we were really impressed by the atmosphere, it's nice that something like this still exists. Coffee and cake were very tasty. We can't judge breakfast and lunch, but we'll definitely try them. We can definitely recommend this gem.

I would like to sincerely apologize to the management of Café Heldt for my attempt to buy something from you. I can assure you that I will not bother you again.On Sunday afternoon I wanted to buy a few pieces of cake to take home. The café door was open. At first there was nothing to indicate that guests were not welcome there. To sell me the cake, a nice young waitress sought help from a gentleman carrying a tray. He didn't even look at me. No "Hello" let alone an explanation as to why there was no more cake. I felt sorry for the young waitress. Despite the mask, I could see how ashamed you were - for your boss's behavior - I assume. I don't know whether the quality of the cake corresponds to the service. And I certainly won't be able to report on that in the future.

Definitely worth a visit.The cake and tarts are very tasty, I would give 5 stars for that.Points were deducted for the warm food because it was convenience food, but the taste fell by the wayside.
