Not recommended - disappointing experience at the Evangelical Youth Center Sachsenhain (1 out of 5 stars)First of all, I would like to highlight the positive aspects: The location of the youth center is really beautiful. The surroundings are rural and idyllic, with lots of forest and beautiful walking paths. The houses are kept in an old rustic style, which gives the farm a certain charm. There are also games rooms where you can play table tennis, among other things. But that was about it for the positive impressions. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was exceptionaldisappointing!!The rooms were in a dilapidated condition. There were thick layers of dust everywhere, the walls were stained and the bed covers yellowed and smelly. The mattresses were tiny, rock hard and so thin that it was hard to sleep. As if that wasn't bad enough, we found two pieces of chewing gum stuck to the bed frame and a used sock in the bed - absolutely disgusting! We had to bring our own towels and bed linen, and there was no soap at the sink in the room. We also had to buy these ourselves. The food was also disappointing. For lunch there was rice with sliced meat, which was acceptable, but the drinks were inedible. There was only water or lemon water, which tasted stale and bitter.Dinner consisted of just a simple sandwich of bread - absolutely inadequate. The price-performance ratio is not right at all!!Given the hygienic deficiencies, the poor food selection and the overall poor service, the stay is completely overpriced.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Sachsenhain Youth Center!!For the price you would at least expect clean accommodation and acceptable food, but both were not met here.

I was on a confit trip and my first impression when I entered the room was not good: there were stains on the walls, the mattresses were very thin and the blankets were very yellowed. The food was terrible, there was no choice and the salad was soggy. I had no WiFi in the room and no underfloor heating. There were also shared showers and shared toilets.

My experience at the Sachsenhain Evangelical Youth Center was mixed. The facility offers some positive aspects for groups. The beds were comfortable and exceeded the standards of some hostels.Unfortunately the quality of the meals left a lot to be desired. Lunch was often not really tasty, and dinner was always a repeat of the morning offerings. The culinary variety and quality remained below expectations.Particularly disappointing were the unisex toilets and showers, which offered little privacy for women and men. This turned out to be extremely unfortunate.Another negative point was the hygiene in the so-called 'private kitchen'. This was not clean and infested with flies. Overall, the stay at the Evangelisches Jugendhof Sachsenhain leaves a mixed impression, with positive aspects such as the beds, but clear opportunities for improvement in terms of meals, privacy and cleanliness.

So really, first the journey, the motorway is closed, I have to take the country road with my AMG. All well and good, then I come into the seminar room and I can hardly believe what I see.... A constantly flickering lamp smh.The lighting technology should be revised, otherwise it's pretty chill.3/5 stars, you know

Very nicely maintained facilities. Good meeting rooms. You can tell that it is an institution of the Protestant regional church.
