Very good for the low price. I thought the rooms were not very cozy or suitable to spend time in except for sleeping. Breakfast was ok, but not a lot of choices when you don't eat meat. Could use some fruit and yoghurt.

I'm not as enthusiastic as all the previous speakers.Yes, of course, the host, you can't say anything about that, extremely friendly and helpful. Maybe I just had the wrong ideas.The one thing I couldn't get over was the instant coffee for breakfast. I hate instant coffee, and at least a normal coffee machine, or even a simple Senseo for making coffee yourself, should be included. Otherwise, the breakfast was completely sufficient for a B&B. Nobody expected salmon and kebab or a big buffet, that was fine. You could also have made tea at any time in the small breakfast room, etc.I found the room claustrophobic and overall very "homemade" (i.e. the loft conversion, stairs, etc.). It was freezing cold and when you turned on the heater (there's only one in the lower part), all the heat went up into the sleeping part. I couldn't operate the "TV" with a dirty description, I just didn't get it. But it didn't do anything because it would have been uncomfortable anyway to sit in the narrow little room and watch TV on the tiny screen, and the remote control looked somehow... "uninviting".Just like the basement that you have to go through. Contrary to the photos, some of which can be seen here, it wasn't tidy; I had the impression that I had to climb through a cluttered barn. Like a junk room.Maybe it all just seemed so inhospitable to me because of the unfriendly and extremely cold weather, in which you could hardly do anything, that could be true. Everything looks different in the bright sunshine.But instant coffee remains an absolute no-go for me.Otherwise: yes, funny place, extremely nice host, and if you don't have high expectations, you'll definitely get along well here.

Marco gave us a very warm welcome.He was a great host and served us a very tasty breakfast every morning. Like at home on the weekend with fresh rolls from the bakery, a boiled egg, various toppings and juice, as well as milk.The location is great and we were able to reach everything within a short time by car. It's also worth hiking around Oberzissen, through the villages.The room was small and nice. Equipped with the bare essentials and that was completely enough. Perhaps a slightly larger side table could be placed in the room.We would definitely recommend it and book it again.

A great bed and breakfast accommodation. The two of us were hiking and were looking for somewhere to stay overnight with breakfast near Niederzissen. Our room is divided over two levels, bedroom under the attic; including living room and bathroom. The breakfast room is right next door. Everything is located in a large open barn which is also used for performances by the host's band. If you're lucky, you can attend a band rehearsal and enjoy a glass of wine (drinks and snacks are available for an additional charge). The host is extremely friendly and helpful and is always available to answer any questions.Conclusion..Room 4, because adventurous stairs to the bedroom, somewhat comfortable armchairs and miniature old school TV.Service 4, .... a transport service to the start of the stage for hikers would be perfectLocation 4, Oberzissen is somewhat remote and has no supermarket or similar.

Great accommodation! If you want a cheap, clean and cool room and are NOT ON A 5 STAR TRIP. Is in very good hands at Marcos Heuboden. Right at the beginning we couples 51/59 were greeted very nicely. WiFi is free The room has 2 floors which I have never seen before in a guesthouse 2 floors CLASS ☺️ Small but nice TV and modern shower bathroom are also available as well as a large spacious wardrobe. According to my taste, the accommodation is a 4 star room. In short, if you're expecting a 5 star luxury hotel here, you're in the wrong place. Everything is described in detail and the location is quiet and you have a parking space for your carGreetings Mario

We found the small guesthouse Marco’s Heuboden by chance online at a moderate price. After a friendly welcome and handover of the keys, we moved into our pleasantly pre-heated “realm”, a small living room with a door to the shower room and a bedroom under the roof, which can be reached via a steep staircase. The wardrobe is in the living room. The rooms are bright and friendly. We particularly liked the large shower with plenty of water pressure and a sensible adjustable shower head and the wonderful breakfast with crispy bakery rolls and perfectly cooked eggs. Everything was attractively prepared at the desired time in the breakfast room, which is conveniently located right next to the rooms. We slept well and very quietly on firm mattresses (with adjustable slatted frames). The guesthouse has its own parking spaces (unpaved), a large, rustic lounge on the ground floor for summer evenings and a well-functioning medium-fast WiFi. In Oberzissen there is a fast food restaurant just 300m from Marco’s Heuboden with delicious schnitzels, spit roasts, burgers etc. and cold drinks (for beer drinkers Bitburger Pils and Gaffel Kölsch on tap). In the neighboring town of Niederzissen, 2 km away, there are supermarkets and pharmacies, so you can get the best supplies.Worthwhile excursion destinations within a radius of approx. 30 km are Neuwied am Rhein (recommendation: Restaurant La Mer with “dinner under water”), the government bunker in Ahrweiler, which is worth seeing, the towns of Bad-Neuenahr-Ahrweiler as a spa and wine town, and the Maria Laach Abbey and much more. What you should note: Marco's Hayloft is not barrier-free (stairs) and in a guesthouse, unlike in a hotel, roomkeeping is not common. We had a lovely time there and can fully recommend Marco’s Heuboden.
