Great historical spot to enjoy an amazing beer. The services was incredibly friendly and we managed to have a nice chat about our travels. Very nice young man who looked after our thirsty needs.

At first my husband and I didn't feel welcome as tourists as we asked for a table inside and although they had available tables, a waiter told us to share a table with other guests. We refrained from doing so and asked if they had a table in the other part of the restaurant and then they gave us one. At first we felt the odd ones out. We felt that German people are more welcome here. However, later the situation changed thanks to two other waiters because they translated the menu from German to English to us and especially one of them was fluent in English and explained everything that we needed to know and provided a service with a smile. A big thank you goes to the young waiter, I think his name was Daniel and it is because of him and of the delicious german food that I'm going to give this restaurant a 5 star.

If you like tasty local food this is the place to go to. The beer garden is well organized. Staff is wearing traditional clothing and the inside of the building brings you a deep insight into traditional Bavarian architecture with paintings, chandeliers and loads of woods.Didn't stay at the hotel, but if it is same as the restaurant it must be great, too.

Excellent! Not a 5 star resort, but very personable, friendly, and "bodenständig". The rooms are simple, but cozy, the breakfast is somewhat limited, but of excellent quality and the in-house-restaurant features a small(ish) selection but everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Location is good as long as you have a car. Just a short drive into Garmisch Patenkirchen. Highly recommended

This is a lovely little hotel: so much history and loads of period pieces. Large room (64) withs wrap around balcony and fine views. Not much to the town but worth an overnight nonetheless. Lots of lovely paintings on the buildings and some interesting shop displays.
