Halloween program 2024 no comparison to 2023 an honestly disappointing experience! Staff seem unhappy and are therefore not friendly, food not like 2023 with a Halloween theme but just a normal buffet under a different name, (the children were very sad about it) no more free popcorn at the cinema Film, no more drinks on the first evening, cold (warm/buffet on the last morning etc. unfortunately completely saved and that for the price of the event! Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

For us, the Leutesdorf youth hostel is the most comfortable and beautiful youth hostel on the Rhine. Of course the hostel father knows this too and so there is a problem with the service concept. If you have obvious technical defects (the rooms could not be locked separately, 1 master key for 4!! family rooms) you don't assume that you understand them, but politely ask for it and it is usually granted 100%. That didn't happen. “You could have driven again when you arrived,” said the hostel father, who appeared every day with the same stained BOSS shirt. My mouth fell open in astonishment. I would never have thought it possible that the former youth hostel father of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Mr. Appel, could be surpassed in terms of rudeness and posturing. This was also confirmed by a call to a woman who asked for tea and was dealt with very rudely. Our mouths were all hanging open.He should be happy to be able to lead such a great JHB.We will not be going there again under this management. However, the service staff was impeccable.

Beautifully located. Dogs are allowed on the terrace if you stop there after a walk, for example.You are not allowed in with a dog. Drinks and food can be purchased self-service from the bistro.

Top youth hostel! Directly on the Rhine.The rooms are category 5⭐️ and the delicious food is great!Only the village itself is a bit desolate for a place located directly on the Rheinsteig.

The rooms are very nice, clean and new. The mattresses are not suitable for adults. Meals are classic youth hostel style (e.g. rosehip tea, orange juice from syrup...)Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good atmosphere.

This is not a youth hostel, but more of a hotel.We were there as an orchestra, had our own rehearsal room and wonderful all-round support.A nice terrace, very good rooms and everything in a great location right on the Rhine.It couldn't be better.And all at a great price.😃😃😃

Very nice and everything was wonderful but changing bookings from full to half board is NOT POSSIBLE. Even in the event of illness, 50% will be charged in the event of a cancellation, hence only 2 stars

We had a wedding and birthday party organized by Thomas Beckert and his team for 15 hours with full service for 170 people. From setup to dismantling, everything was top notch! Perfect service all around, great catering and incredibly friendly service people. It was a wonderful celebration all around. The guests praised the food beyond measure. The flamed salmon was the highlight of the evening. Always happy to come back for the next big celebration!!!

A great spot for families, clean spacious rooms and lovely staff! It is a good location but you need a car… we struggled to get some food in the town but you can get cafeteria style meals here!

Last weekend we celebrated a big birthday with over 100 guests at the JH Leutesdorf and overall we are very satisfied with the organization and implementation of the event.The youth hostel is a fantastic place for such a celebration, where almost all guests come from far away and find an uncomplicated and comparatively cheap overnight stay right in the house. The standard of the rooms and the breakfast is partly above that of the neighboring hotels - at a much lower price.Our celebration took place in the atmospherically beautiful inner courtyard under tents with lantern lighting. In addition, two beautiful rooms in the old monastery building and the adjacent Rhine terrace were available to us for the buffet and for dancing. Football field, climbing frame, table tennis tables and table football were used with enthusiasm by young and old. The kitchen provided us with a barbecue buffet and drinks and we had fully equipped party equipment including lighting and a projector.Of course, the shortage of skilled workers in the hotel and catering industry has not left JH Leutesdorf unscathed. Our guests actively supported replenishment of beverage refrigerators and the buffet.The preparation of the event went smoothly, all inquiries were answered promptly and friendly and some individual solutions were found. Communication was also really excellent during the weekend and it was fun to organize this celebration with the nice team.There was also enthusiastic feedback from the guests!

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Leutesdorf youth hostel. This location was recommended to us verbally by several people. We already had a good feeling after the first conversation with Mr. Beckert. The planning in the following weeks and months was uncomplicated and we always found a great solution for all concerns.In total we celebrated with 125 people, of which almost 100 guests stayed overnight in the youth hostel. But there would also have been room for more overnight guests. We booked the entire hostel for ourselves for the celebration so that we didn't disturb anyone outside.Both the lunch snack, the cake buffet as well as the main meal in the evening and the breakfast the next morning were delicious and filling. Here, too, Mr. Beckert responded to all of our wishes during the planning.The location of the youth hostel directly on the Rhine is beautiful. Children can run around freely and use the on-site playground or the carousel.The evening before the wedding we enjoyed the barbecue buffet with our immediate family, which was extensive and delicious. We were able to grill ourselves and all food and drinks were provided. Here too, the organization was top!We can only recommend this youth hostel! If you are planning a wedding (or another event) and want to celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere, with delicious food and great staff, this is the right place!Finally, about the price: We compared several locations in the region and the Leutesdorf youth hostel impresses with its service at an absolutely fair price.Dear Mr. Beckert and team,Thank you very much for this beautiful wedding, the uncomplicated planning, the polite, courteous and friendly manner of the entire team and your professional manner. My children and I were there from August 12th. until August 15th in the youth hostel. Everything was really great! The room was very spacious, the staff was very friendly and the location of the hostel right on the Rhine was simply fantastic! The food was good and the salads were always fresh. Unfortunately, sometimes the main components of dinner were out of stock if you weren't in the dining room at the beginning. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend this youth hostel!
