Dernbach is quite beautiful. But the hotel is really bad. We paid €79 for a double room, but I wouldn't pay €10. The last renovation was probably sometime in the 1960s. We had a wedding in the village community center and were looking for a hotel nearby. When we got to the hotel after the wedding, it was already 2 a.m....It was scary....no light.....So...Do not use this hotel under any circumstances. If possible, stay somewhere else.

Super beautiful, natural village. The rooms are totally comfortable and modern, the owners are really nice and committed. Great for switching off and winding down for a few days. Very well equipped with very good WiFi and a TV. It doesn't take long to get to the nearest train station by bus. The price-performance ratio is also great! I highly recommend it.

Great hotelUnfortunately, there are strange people walking around here with cameras and a super loud radio that isn't tuned to any station... Plus, they kind of panic when I turn the air conditioning in the basement to cold 🙁

The rooms are functional and clean. Room temperature 17 degrees in November. Hot water only at certain times. Wasn't mentioned beforehand. The reception room dark.And as you can read here, renovations have been going on for years.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by a fantastic autumn landscape and very nice owners - modernizations are currently being implemented, I'm already looking forward to the next time!

first the good... the rooms are newly renovatedNow the negative.. the beds stink of sweat and musty, the heating doesn't work, the shower room is from the 70s, everything is old and moldy, there is no warm water for showering.I couldn't lie down in bed anymore after I smelled the bed linen. I was disgusted by the sheets being clean but what use is that if the pillows, bed and blanket stink. the rooms are no bigger than a prison cell (I googled how big they are, luckily I don't have any personal experience with it haha)

The hotel's location and parking are excellent.We can get a room for rent in the building that is being renovated, although in my case they could have made it better!Simple equipment, something that still reflects the former times, and the heating was very little for the spacious, single room. We can even fight this with an extra blanket, but the fact that hot water was not available at midnight is not negligible!Overall acceptable for €40.

The hotel is currently being renovated and is closed. Some of the rooms are very nicely furnished and look very good. The location is not far from a large forest area and is ideal for great walks. I hope the renovation won't take too long because then I'll be a regular guest there.

I find it disgraceful that you are not served, you have to bring your luggage to your room yourself and there is no trace of breakfast either.But otherwise I really enjoyed my stay. Although the price seems a bit high to me.~Rasmus
