A great, extremely hospitable hostel. Nostalgic, not aloof but very warm and cozy.We were on our first major bike tour with our 2 children and this was our first stop. Our cycling holiday couldn't have started better. It was very family-like and so hard-working. The children were welcomed so well, we felt really comfortable.Everything is sparkling clean and the beds are comfortable. The little ones' bikes and trailer stayed overnight in the hall and a station for charging the batteries was prepared.Dinner and breakfast were excellent.We'll come back on our way back and look forward to it!

Nice hosts, uncomplicated, cater to individual needs. For example, my arrival was delayed by three hours, until late in the evening. Nevertheless, there was still warm food.

Went there at the beginning of August for an overnight stay on the NOK bike tour. Super lovely hosts, simple, very clean rooms with air-dried fresh bed linen. There is also a small selection of dishes for dinner. We decided on currywurst. It was better than some restaurants. Small but fine selection for breakfast with everything you need. Generally pleasantly quiet there. I would stay with the Maaßen family again in a heartbeat.

A very attentive, clean and nicely run guesthouse, ideal for cyclists on the Kiel Canal, very fair prices, good, loving breakfast without disposable plastic, there is even an evening menu - an absolute recommendation!

At the beginning of July, my girlfriend and I visited a good friend at the NOK on our motorcycles for a few days. Our accommodation was the Bornholt bicycle hostel. We have been there before with a larger motorcycle group. This time too everything was perfect, the room, the showers and last but not least the breakfast, we were even given something delicious to eat in the evening if we wanted. We don't need anything more. The hosts were very attentive, everything was perfect.Thank you Maaßen family, we would love to come back.

In June 2022, four of us traveled on the NOK from Drochtersen to Kiel. Our first overnight stop was with the Massen family. A great bike hostel, we felt really comfortable.Just 5 minutes walk from the canal. Everything was very clean, great breakfast and in the evening we were provided with delicious food.The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here.We will recommend it and will definitely come back again.We wish the Maassen family many more nice cycling guests.Best regardsGerhard & GundaUdo & Christa

Nice little hostel located right on the NOK. Very nice and courteous owners with whom you can chat and get tips for your next journey. Rooms are great for one night and perfect for accommodation on the go, as is breakfast in the morning.

Great hosts. Excellent food. Shower and toilet in the hallway. Rooms are simply furnished but completely sufficient. The cleanliness is top. Only 5 minutes walk to the canal. You can also take a nice walk in the evening. The breakfast is rich and good. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.
