The best rösti menu I've ever seen, the selection is great and the rösti is super tasty. My partner had the Cordon Bleu and really enjoyed it too. Very friendly staff who served us quickly and competently. This inn is a real gem, it's worth stopping by even if you have a long journey like us, you'll be richly rewarded.

Good meat (veal schnitzel), OK fries. Ambience nothing special. Toilets definitely need to be renovated. Landlady quite moody. Sometimes reacts very thin-skinned to criticism.

Very old, partly extremely worn atmosphere. Food ok, but nothing special. Boss not critical and rude. The bottom line is unfortunately not recommended. There are much better restaurants in the region.

We have been enjoying the delicious food in the salt barrel for many years. Everything homemade with love and passion. The hotel rooms invite you to live comfortably like “at home”. I especially like sitting in the inviting courtyard and enjoying food and drinks.Thank you to the Hell/Schafflützel family for a thoroughly successful break.

When you enter the inn, you can immerse yourself in the world of the 1970s to 1980s in a cultivated nostalgic atmosphere! The culinary art of the head chef and master chef C. Hell is brilliant, who prepares delicious dishes and fills the plates with generous portions! The service leaves nothing to be desired - simply great!! The furthest journey is worth it!!Even within walking distance from the train station!We wish the Hell family a good future with the old salt barrel!

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation in the room next to the old salt barrel. The Hell family took us in at very short notice because our actual location canceled for private reasons. Ms. Hell was always there, contacted her butcher in no time and conjured up a great menu for us with her husband. Everything was well organized, the food was very tasty and we served almost 40 people very well. Was very accommodating and friendly. We all felt very comfortable and they helped ensure that our daughter and we had an unforgettable day. Thank you again for that. We will definitely eat there more often.

There were 7 people there on Saturday evening, the restaurant was well attended and yet we received a very friendly welcome and were served quite quickly by Ms. Hell. Very tasty salad, and with the cordon bleu… so delicious, no words! For us the best in the area! It was very nice that Mr. Hell came out of the kitchen to check whether everything was OK.We'll be back, 5 stars plus!
