We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We were very impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts. We were allowed to use the sauna at any time that suited us which was a great service. The hosts also showed us everything so that we quickly found our way around. At breakfast there was a cozy atmosphere with nice music and the food was delicious. Our room was warm and very welcoming, with a little touch of water and sweets - a really nice touch. We will definitely recommend this hotel!

You can tell this place is run with a lot of love, from the warm and personal welcome to the honesty bar and table with recent magazines to browse. Delicious and big breakfast served. The hotel is a wonderful time capsule, but the (bath)rooms could do with a little modernisation for comfort. Situated just outside of town, conveniently located just off the Wildnis Trail!

An incredibly rich breakfast buffet, from which we as a hiking group were able to put together our food for the day. Very nice hoteliers and super attentive service staff. Rooms were completely ok, the location was an ideal starting point for hikes with a panoramic view.

Simple stay in a quiet area of Gemund. Stayed here for 1 night while hiking the Wildniss Trail. Very friendly service and a fantastic breakfast. You were allowed to prepare your own packed lunch from the breakfast buffet.👍👍

They did try to speak English, they were always polite. They do lock the doors around 8pm and they never warned us about it and wouldn't open the doors when we rang the bell either! We came around 8.30pm so not like 4am. We managed to get in in the end, I won't mention how for the safety of other guests and not to give thieves any ideas but please do tell your guests about this, because this was just silly being locked out of your own hotel and not being able to get in for an entire half hour despite there being a bell!!They also put us in the attic room despite me booking one on the ground floor, and which got too hot during the day and there was no a/c, so that was also inconvenient.Breakfast was nice. The lady that was cleaning and helping in the kitchen was the most helpful, thank you! Everyone else please look into this feedback and please try to make experiences of other guests better.
