Our absolute favorite place in the Black Forest for a short trip. We always enjoy coming back and everyone feels so comfortable in the lovely inn surrounded by friendly people. The rooms are also quaint and incredibly comfortable. After a good glass of red wine, you sleep particularly well with the sound of the stream and look forward to breakfast in the room. An absolute insider tip that we can only recommend💛

Ideal starting point for hiking tours "View of St. Peter" with a secluded garden by the stream, friendly service and small snacks. The sausage salad was particularly enjoyable.

If you want to spend your stay in a tranquil, quiet and hospitable place away from the hustle and bustle and through traffic, you should stop by here (perhaps for a few days).The inn has a very nice location, directly on the GlotterWhen it comes to food, you don't skimp like you do elsewhere, you can be sure: you get something for your money. The price-performance ratio is absolutely top.

I just stopped for a quick rest. The landlady was very welcoming. There was good home-baked food and cold bottled beer. Price performance completely okay.

We were only here to eat, but we haven't had such a nice meal anywhere else. Right by the stream in the garden. Plus a good snack and friendly service.

Very, very happy again. We were there twice already. The rooms are clean, the hosts respond to your wishes. We'd love to come back.

We were on the way from Glottertal to Furtwangen and wanted to have a little something to eat when the angel offered himself and it was the right decision. A small, rustic restaurant where everything was freshly prepared for us. Anyone who is on the corner should stop here.

Very nice landlady, super delicious snacks, portions leave you completely full, reasonable prices, rustic interior and simple, but especially when we visited in the evening sun, incredibly beautiful places outside in the garden by the babbling stream. :-)

At the Gasthof Engel you will receive a friendly welcome... the atmosphere is a bit old school, but appealing because it is authentic. Drinks and cakes are first class.
