Went for dinner.The “greetings from the kitchen” were particularly positive. This was a small soup, as well as bread with cheese and a piece of cake as dessert.Unfortunately, the food we ordered wasn't convincing, the beef had different cooking levels and was unfortunately tough and sometimes almost impossible to chew. The 3 stars are only because of the greetings from the kitchen and the general service.I don't think that this should be the claim of this upscale hotel. In any case, we won't be coming back.

A traditional inn with an eventful history. Founded as an inn in the Unterglottertal, the old building was completely destroyed in a fire (the rubble and ash remains were used to fill the current sports field area). The best and tastiest dish on the menu for years has been the “Golden Angel Pork Loin” - bravissimo! Gladly again!!!

Nice older inn. Small rooms but sufficient. Very nice hosts and employees, we stayed there for three nights and were able to enjoy the delicious breakfast. No wish remains unfulfilled. We had dinner twice. Also highly recommended. A little more expensive but they make an effort to serve something special. The proximity to Europa Park is also worth mentioning. We liked it

We booked four double rooms over the weekend with a menu, unfortunately we had to cancel a double room at short notice due to illness. When we got the bill we were charged the full price including the menu, which is incomprehensible to us, of course we would have paid for the double room but we don't understand why we had to pay for the entire menu. We contacted the management but without success. We believe that guests are welcomed here if they pay immediately and that the word GOODNESS is a foreign word here.

Excellent Hotel. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff were very friendly attentive without being obtrusive. Both the breakfasts and evening were excellent. An ideal location for exploring the Black Forest . Definitely recommend and already planning a return visit

We can't judge the rooms - but the service and food are excellent 👍. Very nice, courteous service staff with the right sense of humor and the right approach to the guest. Even if the prices are a little higher, the ambience and of course the quality of the food are good. Starting with the “greetings from the kitchen” - a nice amuse gueule, up to a small, delicious “dessert” to accompany the digestive. Highly recommended ❤️

Lovelessly overpriced, disappointing candlelight dinerA candlelight dinner in the taproom opposite the bar at a table for six in the corner did not meet our expectations of a romantic dinner.Our place, with a few plastic diamonds scattered around, was no different from the others. The accompanying menu with accompanying wines for €140 per person, the contents of which we only found out at the table, was completely overpriced and the quality of the wines and dishes was not up to par. A small bottle of water was charged extra. Our criticism regarding our idea of a romantically set table and the location in the restaurant was met with incomprehension. The upgrade to the tasting menu was €40 for one more course with the accompanying wine glass.
