The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is rich and the host is friendly. The price-performance ratio is great. Checking in was easy using a key safe. We would be happy to come back.

It should be a relaxing weekend. But it wasn't. Breakfast was OK. Sausage, cheese, eggs, jams were good. Diabetics should resort to the sausage, the jams were very sweet. There was also fruit salad. …

On the day of departure we simply went into the room while we were having breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and removed the beds, even though checkout was agreed at 10:15. That's not possible and checking our valuables caused us a lot of stress when we got into the room shortly before 10 a.m. Recovery was with the devil. Don't come back.

Very nice host, very child-friendly. The rooms are well equipped, the breakfast is more than sufficient. The guesthouse is located in a central area. This is the second time we have been guests and we feel very comfortable there. Will happily book there again.

The Pension Sonnengrund in the holiday resort of Fischen has attractive rooms, some with a balcony. The furniture is good average. The beds are comfortable. Mr. Mayer is a very nice operator and also responds to individual breakfast requests. His home-made jams are excellent. Free parking and WiFi are available.The only suggestion for improvement is the type of fabric used in the bed covers. If the fabric sticks to the skin, it is less comfortable.Conclusion: Price/performance is right here. We'd love to come back.+++ Update from February 16, 2024 +++The bed linen has now been replaced and the feeling of well-being is now as it should be.What was a bit irritating, however, was that housekeeping removed the bed linen and towels on the day of departure while we were still having breakfast. The room must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. Housekeeping should also wait until then before entering the room.Otherwise there is only positive things to report. We still like it here.

Simple accommodation in Fischen. Very central. Mattresses rather saggy, synthetic bed linen. Breakfast is gigantic. A really great selection.I found the room service very unpleasant, even though it said in the room that it was canceled due to Corona. Room service took place during breakfast. Everything I had directed was put somewhere else. On the day of departure, my outfit for the day was lying on the bed and during breakfast (and I was only there from about 7:00 to 7:15 a.m.), the bed was stripped and my straightened clothes were somewhere else again and my headband fell out of my jacket . You could really have waited until I left. I find that rude.Despite the requirement to wear a mask, the owner didn't wear one.Without the strange room service, with better mattress and bed linen and with the owner wearing a mask, I would have given 5 stars.

The guesthouse is centrally located and is very well maintained. The owner was extremely accommodating and was an excellent advisor for helpful tips and suggestions.The breakfast was always very fresh and included everything for a perfect start to the day.We will be back

Nice little guesthouse. Clean and accommodating. Tomatoes and cucumbers looked a bit limp on the breakfast buffet. Otherwise, everything a breakfast needs. Located in a nice central yet quiet location on a side street. Shop 2 minutes away.
