I got room #4, with a smelly carpet after a sewer pipe failure, the pipe was obviously recently replaced but the carpet hasn't been replaced or even washed and the room smells like septic tanks. The wooden stairs are probably 100 years old and creak so much that my neighbor coming to work at 5:00 ended my sleep...

Food and service a disaster! Ants on the table, the mixed salad was green with 4 slices of cucumber, purchased salad dressing. When I asked the waitress about it, she just said she wasn't the chef! Pizza was edible, Riz Casimir with canned fruit worked like that. Not recommended!!!!

Very rude people, no plates just pizza box, meat tough, food not tasteful or too salty and very long waiting time. HELLO, what's the point...🤬🤬🤬🤬I wouldn't recommend eating this.

I read the other reviews...I definitely have to share the opinion that the hotel is not suitable for someone who wants privacy. Not bad for a monthly room...However, hygiene is certainly not a priority here. This hotel is definitely well located; The wonderful old town, the Coop, Beck Maier, the post office and the train station are all in the immediate vicinity... I really like Laufenburg....You can share a communal kitchen here. But one thing first: If you rent a permanent room here, you immediately get the feeling of having put down roots in a dusty room from the Belle Époque, which is regularly checked by the staff. This hotel has charm in some way without probably meaning to. Great!

You can chill there well. And you have the historic old town right next door. A dream really.
