I cycled over the Elendsattel with my partner today on a wonderful late autumn sunny day and for the first time in many years since August this year. Stopped by the reopened and newly renovated Forsthaus Valepp and have to say: I'm thrilled! The place has gained enormously, great bike parking spaces, the self-service beer garden is super nice, the food is very tasty, prices are completely ok; Inside the forester's house it is bright, tastefully modern, perhaps a little 'sterile', the service ladies are not unfriendly, but they can be a little 'looser', but that will be okay...The highlight was: Manu suddenly showed up with a gravel bike, acknowledged my praise (“everything turned out really well”) with a friendly “Thank you and have a nice day,” very personable! We'll definitely come back more often next year!

A bit soulless forester's house, more cold than comfortable. Staff a bit overwhelmed. Electronic ordering doesn't work, half of it is forgotten, BUT: the main thing is tattooed!!

Greatly renovated and everything is very pretty. Nice self-service beer garden with a great ambience. The food was a bit disappointing, the soups and cream mushrooms had a strange consistency, unfortunately there aren't really any dishes for children in the beer garden. The snacks from the counter were ok, but nothing special. The iced apricot dumpling was very tasty. We didn't think it was good value for money.

A beautifully restored forester's lodge in beautiful surroundings. We are happy that we have such a nice stop in Valepp again. The food was excellent and the service was top. We would like to come back.

Nicely laid out, but food and service mediocre at best. The restaurant is a self-service joint with inflated prices and long waiting times with only five people in line. There is no idea of service.

We spent a lovely short holiday here on mountain bikes. The rooms are nice, the food in the restaurant is fantastic. The staff takes great care of their guests!Clear recommendation. 👍

Comfort is something else.The meatballs were really doughy without parsley and therefore tasteless.A lot of shikimiki as I suspected.The other guests were also very reserved.Maybe also a lot of curious people. Lots of Porsche BMW and other high-quality vehicles.Of course also normal Indians and cyclists.In the future I prefer the Wildbachhütte, 7 kilometers away, near the Monialm. Or straight to GarmischKochelbergalm in Garmisch. Above the ice rink!!! Very good and homemade food The Kaiserschmarrn costs €11 etc.

is a cozy restaurant in a beautiful setting. It is located in the mountains and offers great views, the menu has delicious, regional dishes. Unfortunately you can't try everything. I also think it's good that the restaurant was saved. Simply top here.

Incredibly cozy inn with a rustic atmosphere and hearty, tasty food to match. The service is friendly and it's quick, even when it's busy. I would especially recommend the desserts, I had the apple strudel and that alone would make me come back!

The forester's house has a beautiful location with unspoilt nature and peace and it is great that this house has been restored and renovated.The outside area is very nicely decorated and the inside area is too cold and not comfortable for us. Where is the Bavarian cosiness? We were served by a very friendly waiter. Food and prices were ok.

Very nice beer garden and restaurant and reasonably priced, considering Munich standards. Ideal for hikers and cyclists. You can only get there by car via a toll road for 6 EUR. Still worth it, there are plenty of parking spaces (also on the way) to enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Best apple strudel I've ever tasted. Beautiful location, excellently renovated house, friendly service. Yes, of course all of this has its price, but quality is also offered. You shouldn't just concentrate on the Wiener Schnitzel, but on the other fine things that are prepared there and that are not available elsewhere. Ideal for gourmets who want some good food in a beautiful mountain setting. On a nice day it's really worth going there for some fine dining. Thanks to Manuel Neuer for investing his money here and not in Dubai!

First of all, I really have to praise the beautiful ambience and the friendly person, they just convinced me straight away. I have to say the food was at least as excellent. I have to admit I found it so delicious that I went back with my girlfriend the next day.

A wonderful place was saved from ruin at the last second 👍🤩. Thanks to Mr. Neuer and all investors who made the preservation of the historic forester's lodge possible 🙏. I reply to all the critics, where were their outraged voices who witnessed the decay of the beautiful building for ten years????We have stopped in twice so far after a hike. Both the food and drinks were very good, as was the service! Price/performance is consistent!And the guest WiFi also worked perfectly 😉. We will definitely be back.
