The place is beautiful. The owner was super friendly and everything was clean. Only the street is busy and not suitable for pedestrians.

I spent a few wonderful days in Wernigerode with my son.Contact with Ms. Rosenthal was easy and reliable, even though I booked at very short notice. When we arrived we walked from the train station - we chose the steep path that Google recommended. It was nice because we could see a lot, but also tiring with luggage. There is the path through the city center, which climbs more slowly.Ms. Rosenthal gave us a very warm welcome. She has a perfect balance between being courteous and caringBe approachable and respect the rest needs of your guests. She gave me some good tips on sightseeing and shopping. On the way up to our holiday apartment we were surrounded by a splendor of flowers and their floral scent. Ms. Rosenthal clearly has a green thumb. Everything is very lovingly laid out and maintained. The first thing we saw of our holiday apartment was a porch swing in the garden area that we were allowed to use alone. From there you have a beautiful and wide view of the mountains. My absolute favorite place! The holiday apartment is clean, well maintained and well equipped. Despite the warm outside temperatures, the apartment was well ventilated and kept pleasantly cool.We quickly reached the city center, Edeka, and the sights on foot. There were so many beautiful things to see along the way. Wernigerode is a very beautiful city. The climb to the castle was unusual for us North Germans, but still very nice! There are also tourist trains that you can take up and down again. These don't stop at the wildlife park, but you can easily reach it from the castle. We haven't seen all the beautiful parts of this beautiful place, so I guess we'll have to come back. However, only if we can book with Mrs. Rosenthal again, because she made us feel very comfortable.

Small guesthouse with 2 holiday apartments and 1 double room.Very nice owner and nice apartment.Enough space and well equipped. We booked with breakfast, which was also very good and sufficient. The starting point for undertakings is optimal. The old town, the castle, the train station, etc. can be reached on foot in 5-15 minutes. We felt very comfortable here and can only recommend the guesthouse!

A warm hostess, a great breakfast. A bit outdated interior... but funnily enough a mattress that didn't give me any back pain. Super-short walking distance to the city and the restaurants

We stay in the guesthouse every year and don't like going back home, it's centrally located, the market isn't far, there are lots of options. Thank you Ms. Rosenthal, we'll see each other again soon

The landlady is very friendly and the apartment is well equipped for a short or long stay. A special plus is the seating in the courtyard/garden with a view of the Brocken. There are no parking spaces directly at the house, but they are free and just a few steps away. The market square can be reached on foot in 10 minutes and the climb to the castle is very close. We'd love to come back :-)
