We stayed for four nights at Villa Uhlenhorst and fully recommend a stay here for anyone, who is looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to experience Wernigerode and the Harz from. The owner, Frau Heim, is very attentive and helpful and creates a super cozy, homely atmosphere in the house.

This place is absolutely magical. From the thoughtfully decorated rooms to the amazing home-cooked breakfast on the porch every morning with homemade jam - Gerlinde made our stay at Villa Uhlenhorst so special. Everything was spotless and her local recommendations truly enhanced our trip. I cannot say enough good things about this place and hope to come back one day. We went in the summer, but I can imagine it would be enchanting in the winter as well!

Phenomenal!We were in the Harz for a few days and chose this accommodation. Yes it costs a few euros more but it was worth every cent! Lovingly renovated and furnished house/room, extremely friendly staff, super delicious breakfast. Just pure relaxation and time travel 😍The view from our balcony in the “Fairy Tales & Legends” room was great. No noise from the street or city at night, just pure nature. We could even hear an owl twice 🦉🤩Anyone looking for a good place to stay in the area should take a look here.

Ober-Hammer-Nostalgic. Here we come again.The rooms are clinically clean and furnished with loving attention to the smallest details on the subject, you feel like a family here. As soon as you enter the villa, a touch of history hits you. A very beautiful usable garden and direct access to the hiking trails make your stay a legendary experience. (PS: Homemade jam)

Villa Uhlenhorst is one of the most beautiful private guesthouses we know. A skilful combination of historical furniture and "repros" in conjunction with a unique meticulousness when it comes to the decoration of curtains, curtains and wallpaper. The breakfast is good, the garden is lovely! The owners are helpful and very friendly, approachable at any time and with lots of excursion tips at hand.

It's nice that there are still people who still maintain and use such houses. We felt very comfortable here alone in the atmosphere. In addition, only absolutely likeable people work here who really take good care of you.

From June 26th to 29th, 2020 we were guests at Villa Uhlenhorst with our granddaughter (11 years old). The carefully restored and wonderfully furnished villa is simply magical. It is located in a large garden with beautiful old trees, a pond, everything is wonderfully quiet, which is good for sleep. Our granddaughter loved the loft bed. The beds are excellent. Service, breakfast etc. very loving and committed.We felt very comfortable and can recommend Villa Uhlenhorst without reservation. From there you can wonderfully see the cities of Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, Ballenstedt Castle, and go on hikes up the Brocken and into the Bode Valley. The area is more than worth a trip!
