We were kindly and warmly received by Mrs. We spent a wonderful week there. Beautiful surroundings with many cycling opportunities. Supermarket within walking distance. The lady regularly came by for a chat. The sanitary facilities are indeed outdated, but they are clean. We will definitely come back again. Eb and Aukje Koops Emmen

We stayed at this campsite for 1 night while passing through. The son received us very kindly. Grounds were neat and tidy. Big places. Sanitary facilities a bit old-fashioned, but fine. Beautiful surroundings!

Had a wonderful canoeing weekend. A wonderful place on the meadow, on the water, in front of the campsite. Since we were with a very large group, we were allowed to stay there for 2 nights. Friendly and helpful owner. Was great.

The campsite is a bit old, but that's exactly what gives it its special charm. The location is beautiful and offers lots of nature and peace. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can tell that the team puts a lot of effort into keeping the place well maintained. The sanitary facilities are clean, although not entirely modern, and the site has everything you need for a comfortable camping holiday. Anyone who appreciates the nostalgic flair and values a friendly, familiar environment has come to the right place! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Very nice people, great price. Neatly clean. Gladly again

We had to pay 60 euros for 2 nights. We charged 10 euros for two people who visited us briefly (no overnight stay). One toilet and one shower are old but usable. Electricity 5 euros a day!!! The location on the vechte is ok. The price was far too expensive for these circumstances

We have known this campsite for years. It is beautifully situated on the river, where there is a kayak pier. The owner sometimes seems a bit stiff, but she is very helpful. And compared to the staff in the supermarket, she is extremely friendly.

Quiet campsite.Best place for those seeking relaxation who like pure nature. The welcome was very friendly and personal wishes were fulfilled when choosing a place. Play facilities for small children are available. With young people I would rather go to another place. Shopping options available nearby. A word about the sanitary facilities, yes, everything is old, but intact and clean! It is advisable to have your own toilet paper with you. A little more lighting on the way there would be desirable.Addendum: Prices on the website appear to be out of date! There is nothing on the website about an additional fee for dogs, although it says electricity is excluded but there is no flat rate. In the end we paid €30 a night. But something better will have to come in the sanitary sector by next time!Still, it was nice! We'll definitely come back again

Campsite is really beautiful. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are getting old. There was a bucket under the sink because the drain was broken. Shower head attached with a metal pin. It wasn't really clean. For 25 euros a night for 2 people per place with electricity not ok given the condition of the sanitary facilities. The price-performance ratio is not right. Really a shame.The star is for the beautiful view.

We spent almost a week at this wonderful campsite. Beautiful view, friendly manager and large pitches.The manager is always there for you if there is anything. We had our children with us and a football table was spontaneously set up for them. There is also a large playing field where the children can play.The sanitary facilities are not modern but are fine! The showers have nice hot water and a nice jet, so you can take a nice shower after a walk / bike ride (and no coins or something like that).

We were on a bike tour with 7 girls towards Ameland and stopped at Camping Weuste. We received a friendly welcome and the contact in advance was also great. The breakfast the next morning was very good. Even though the rooms are a bit old, we had a nice stay on the farm. Thank you for the hospitality :-)

I have deleted my previous review about the Weuste camping site. That was because the owner and the temporary site managers reacted quite threateningly to the poor assessment of their campsite. It came down to "get rid of Google's review or leave the campsite!" But leaving it at that doesn't feel right. That's why I'm posting my review again. Mainly to avoid disappointment for other walkers and cyclists.The campsite is fantastically located on the Vecht, beautiful places! However, the price is not in proportion to the quality. The owner charged €30 for a trekking tent, 2 people and 2 bicycles (non-electric) per night. We got €5 back when it turned out that we meant without electricity. But then again, 25 euros? And 5 euros per night for electricity?Price/quality: we had cold water for the shower, the sanitary facilities are very dated, drains do not drain properly, there is no toilet paper, the sanitary facilities are very dirty, the drinking water is cloudy, there is no WiFi on site. In short, this campsite is not recommended for this price!

Beautifully situated on the Vecht. In the right place you have a beautiful view and you can see far away. The owner is very friendly and the sanitary facilities are clean.
