Very beautifully landscaped chalet park with around 20 houses, where dogs are also welcome. Well thought-out concept with connection to the Seehotel opposite and a beautifully landscaped, heated outdoor pool in the complex. Overall, it was wonderfully quiet in the complex in mid-September. The layout of our mountain chalet above the complex (for 4 people) with its own sauna in the 2nd bathroom, 2 bedrooms and terrace with a lake view was good. However, we were a bit disappointed with the furnishings of the living room: there was no comfortable sofa in the living room, but only a small, uncomfortable 2-seater (plus an armchair), which was also in an awkward position next to the television, so we had to move furniture around. Overall, the room was very dark and lacked comfort. There are only 3 seats for 4 people, unless you take a kitchen chair. The 2nd bedroom has no storage space such as a closet or chest of drawers. (There was 1 chest of drawers with small drawers in the hallway). Instead there was a large sofa bed next to the bed. It's a shame about the otherwise beautiful room with a lake view! The two bathrooms were very well equipped. Since we really liked the location and the nature around Lake Diemelsee, we would give the chalets another chance if the furnishings in the living area, where you spend most of your time, were improved and the house had a little more "hut" charm " would get.

We were there for three nights. 2 adults and two children. The chalets leave nothing to be desired, right down to the small but nice sauna. There is even wood at the hut for a fire on the terrace. Excursions to Willingen are possible, about a 20-minute drive. We also had dinner at the hotel twice and were very satisfied. (All inn buffet excluding drinks). There is also a children's meal available upon request. The selection is not extensive but what is offered is of great quality. The staff in the hotel and at reception are sensational, in a way that you are almost no longer used to. Top. Certainly everything is rather expensive but definitely worth the money. There is also a play room for children, kids aged 0-8 will definitely have fun there and it also helps with the constant rain, which we unfortunately had. We have the hotel and the chalets on the list if we need a short break again.

We booked a premium chalet as a family of 6. The house is very good with its layout and furnishings. Belonging to the Seehotel, so that you can use the indoor playground and the small pool, is also really beneficial in addition to the bread service. The deduction for the accommodation is that the false ceiling is a simple wooden floorboard. So everything is very noisy, you can hear every step upstairs and you can look down into the bathroom from the bedroom above. OK in your own family, but if you meet up with another family... There is a deduction for the location because the place is already not very touristy and you can't buy food in town, for example. But not a big problem with a car.So overall a recommendation if you can live with the two shortcomings.

Beautiful new residential park with playground.The mini golf course is also highly recommended. As well as the Diemelsteighütte on the mini golf course (70m away) there are always the right dishes from midday onwards
