The pizza was tasty, even if it was very expensive, so that was fine for us.The service was really bad.A 0.3 glass was added to the 0.5 liter Erdinger Hefeweizen.My husband asked for a 0.5 liter glass... none of it was available.The beer went back.Instead, a Veltins Pils was ordered, as it was on the menu.The lady then brought two light ones to choose from.She just didn't understand the difference between Pilsner and Hellen.After all, she is Italian.In my opinion, the red wine for €7.90 0.2 liters was over the top for such a location.Mineral water from Aldi in a pet bottle, well.The whole thing cost us €45 without any invoice.

The pizza was really very good. Otherwise, failure!Just the pictures that are circulating here on Google. Some show the restaurant "Pensione e Ristorante Casa Marotta". Maybe the reviews are also mixed up?!The menu is more minimalist than on the homepage. Service is also minimalist here. There are signs everywhere saying that you should order at the counter, that you will be called when the food is ready and that you should put the dishes away after eating. Where are we please? In an Italian restaurant or at a fast food chain?Luckily we were served. Fallen on the nose when it came to wheat. 0.33 l for €4.00 instead of the usual 0.5 l for €4.80 and then warm too.We would have had to pay €34.30, but we were asked for €34.80. Maybe an extra charge of 50 cents for the aluminum foil in which our leftover pizza was wrapped? You don't know, the final amount was only written on the "receipt" by hand.We would very much like not to come back!

They use original Italian products, olive oil made from their own olive trees. Each dish is a delicacy, prepared at the time of order, freshly prepared sauces, well-mixed pan-fried pasta, fresh vegetable appetizer. What a super delicacy.

Pizzeria 'Il Giardino'It was our first time in the small town of Volkmarsen. It was a very small pizzeria, hidden on a side street in the city center. The phrase 'small but mighty' applied here again. There were only three small tables inside - but you can also get something to take away from home. We ate spaghetti carbonara or schnitzel Hawaii. The portions of both dishes were very generous, tasted very good and were also reasonably priced. My wife and I can highly recommend the pizzeria.
