There were six of us (3 double rooms) for an overnight stay and dinner in the Rhein-Ahr. I rate the restaurant with 5 and the hotel or our room with 3 stars.Hotel/Room: We had a double room on the first floor facing the street. Rooms are rather small, but sufficient and enough storage and hanging options. Very good bed. Bathroom very small, but functionally everything is okay. But what doesn't work at all and leads to a 2 star deduction: You could hear a compressor in our room the WHOLE night that kept turning on. I suspect it was a refrigeration compressor from a large refrigerated counter or cold room in the restaurant area below us.Sockets are in short supply, I had to decide whether to plug in the bedside lamp or the charging cable next to the bedside table.A fellow traveler in another room complained that the mattress was too soft in his opinion.Breakfast was a bit poor in terms of selection, but everything tasted good.Restaurant: Very good food, generous portions. The farmer's schnitzel was really great and very inexpensive at €14.50. Add a salad and you're at €20 and have a great meal. The older man at the counter and the young woman were very friendly and attentive and had to run the entire restaurant together. They actually managed to do that reasonably well - respect for that! The prices for the drinks are also okay.

We booked 3 single rooms in this hotel on a 4-country trip D-NL-B-L-D. Since our arrival was delayed, I called the hotel on the way. The late arrival at 9 p.m. was no problem.Check-in was problem-free. The rooms are large, furnished a bit old, but very clean. Bathroom poured and clean. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet. Our car was parked free of charge in the inner courtyard, which was secured by a gate.Despite our late arrival, the hotel kitchen was still open and our hunger was satisfied with very tasty schnitzels and large portions of fries. The breakfast was good and there was something for everyone. Everyone at the family run business was very nice.We would book here again.

This was a quick stopover of one night as we drove through Germany. Lovely hotel, clean rooms with comfortable beds and good hot shower. Nice continental breakfast.Staff were friendly and helpful and good secure parking on site. Good location, a short walk or drive from the Rhine and the ferry crossing to Linz am Rhein.Only SLIGHT downside was that the bedside light was not plugged in and had no socket to actually plug into - was a bit strange!
