Pretty, time-honored hotel at Vollmarstein Castle with a fabulous view of the river and valley. Rooms renovated and very well maintained, new mattresses. The bathroom has a spacious shower including a rain shower head. The breakfast buffet offered, among other things, scrambled eggs, sausages, crispy bacon and small meatballs. All very tasty. Friendly staff.

Great room with wonderful views and delicious food in the restaurant. From the hotel it is only a few meters to the old castle ruins, which offer a great view over Volmarstein and the Ruhr Valley.

We originally booked two nights here and then extended it for another night because we liked it so much. Ideal for cycling tours in the Ruhr Valley. The hotel has a lockable room for bicycles. We had a great view of the Ruhr Valley from our room. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable with high quality mattresses. The staff was attentive and very friendly.

Very cozy restaurant.Were here again after 3 years as part of the crime dinner.The food has deteriorated a lot,And the portions have become quite puny. The noodles were hard, the main course had a mini piece of meat.The food was otherwise much better.The service was just okay.

A bit of an adventurous journey, the navigation system was a bit overwhelmed.It's best to look at the route beforehand on Google maps with satellite representation.Large parking lot, wonderful location.The hotel is still of the old style. Lots of rooms, one with great views and grand piano. Small hunting room, we sat there. The food was really good and very plentiful. The service was very nice, the boss also came to the table and asked how satisfied we were. Our room looks like in an old castle, with half-timbered beams. No safe, no refrigerator, and unfortunately no place to put your suitcase. The bathroom is ultra-modern with a large shower cubicle and rain shower. There is a lift, but there are 1-2 steps in between. The hotel has WiFi, but a bit slow.Everything was sparkling clean.The beds were good, we slept well.At breakfast everything you needed was there.It was all very familiar and we liked it. If we are in the area again we will stay here again.

Room for two people €275 is very expensive in my opinion! Because no breakfast is included. In the evening there was simple pasta with Bolognese for a whopping €17.50.Unfortunately, our room also had a bit of a smell. Depends on age.The breakfast was excellent and the staff was super friendly! Unfortunately the price is too high!

Underground!Waiter very drunk.A young girl in service tries to save the situation to some extent, but gets burned out in the process.An assistant cook with dirty fingernails.An older couple of operators who seem completely overwhelmed.Price-performance not justified.Given the location of the hotel, it should actually just be buzzing.A pity!!!

Very unique and authentic numbers. A hotel on top of a mountain. From the windows there is a beautiful view of the valley of the city. A very old linden tree grows in the yard. During flowering, the thick aroma of flowers fills everything around with pleasant emotions.!))

An outdated hotel. The staff tried to make up for the staff shortage. However, there was no drinks menu and at 9:15 p.m. there was nothing left to drink or eat. The food in the restaurant was good but you had to decide upon arrival what you wanted to eat for the evening (including dessert).

Nice restaurant with a great terrace! The food is freshly prepared and of good quality, no finished products. Everything at fair prices. The service is also friendly and accommodating. Gladly again...
