We wanted to stop there today for food and drinks after a hike. It was busy as it was a public holiday. After we got a seat - unfortunately the table was still a bit dirty from the previous food - we wanted to order. Of course that took a while, which is completely normal on a day like this. The waitress came and before we could order something to drink we were greeted completely clumsily and inappropriately with the words:If you want food then you have to wait 30-40 minutes, you already know that, right? Not that they'll make fun of me if it takes longer!Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. We then had a drink and went somewhere else to eat! If that had been said normally then it wouldn't have been a problem for us, but not like that. The food looked good what other guests had.

Went there again yesterday for coffee and cake after a long walk.Location is very nice.Cake was very tasty although the uncooled cake counter takes a lot of getting used to.Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly. The waiting times just to order something are unreasonably long and you also have to wait a long time for food, coffee and cake. It's also sad that the order doesn't arrive completely despite taking a long time and you only receive the coffee, for example, after you've eaten the cake. Conclusion:I was very disappointed with my visit to the restaurant yesterday.Especially since I was used to completely different things from previous visits. What a shame!!!!

We only rate the restaurant:Despite having a reservation, we had to wait about 1.5 hours for the food. Unfortunately, when it came it was anything but good. The pork knuckle looked gray and wasn't crispy. Likewise the lumberjack steak, which tasted bitter. Overall, everything was carelessly prepared and it tasted terrible.I would like to mention positively that the staff understood the criticism, we didn't pay for everything and we got a latte macchiato as compensation (which unfortunately also looked gray and was tasteless). The furnishings were also old and very messy.Unfortunately no recommendation.

We went there for coffee and cake. There were 3 dogs lying around in the bar with their food bowls. Cake plates were full of hair. Coffee cup was dirty. The cake sat uncooled and without a sneeze guard on the side. We were very disappointed.

Waited about 2 hours for a rather mediocre meal. Fries were cold. Riesling warm. Cordon Blue dry. Roast roast rather well done than medium. Service was sometimes very unfriendly and overwhelmed……. Too bad

It's a shame that people who don't even want to work 8 hours judge and complain about others who are still keeping the state alive, unfortunately there will soon be no more country inns😪😪

I have been a highly satisfied weekly regular here for 30 years!I read what in most cases so-called “local guides” think they have to say about gastronomic establishments. Interestingly, they hide behind abbreviations and therefore want to remain nameless and anonymous:- I wasn't allowed to go to the toilet on Tuesday, the rest day...?- I had to (!) screw in a light bulb myself... (In the Albengel there are at least 70 LEDs burning inside, i.e. this guest was at the mercy of the darkness)- great! - Dogs are welcome - but then the dog piles are annoying again (they are all from the landlord, who doesn't let anyone go to the toilet on the day of rest...) Worse still: the dogs are also fed...Conclusion: I'm not surprised that every second country inn is currently... closes in order to have plenty of time to write such profound reviews after every bite, which unfortunately go unchecked by Google and other mediabe printed.
