Nice authentic hotel for a fair price. The breakfast is excellent and very extensive. The host will ensure that you will certainly not be short of anything! Definitely recommended if you like the old, authentic architectural style that characterizes the village of Monschau. Bathroom was modern enough and clean. On top of that, we received a beer of your choice upon arrival as a welcome gift, again excellent service.

Stayed here for one night during our bike tour. Rarely have we experienced such great hospitality. The rooms are ok and nice and quiet, everything else is great. If you're not necessarily a vegetarian, you'll be surprised by the breakfast. I don't want to give too much away, just let yourself be surprised and be very hungry. Delicious rolls and croissants are also available. If we come to Mondchau again, we will stay overnight here.

Great, rustic accommodation in absolutely stunning Monschau. The breakfast is like a brunch buffet, with plenty of everything. The host scores with his hospitality and we were able to store our bikes safely. Highly recommended!

Old house in a top location, right in the old town. Burgau car park can be reached in just a few minutes on foot.Owner very friendly, nice and uncomplicated reception.Stairs are steep, rooms are outdated but functional and perfectly fine for a short stay. Quiet at night. The breakfast was great, plentiful, with fresh juice, yogurt, fresh fruit brought to the table, butcher quality cold cuts, freshly prepared egg dishes. Mega. Thank you very much for that👍🏻

Very rude and unprofessional host. The room was very old and uncomfortable. Not a hotel's quality, more like rooms to let.

1, no amenities including body soap and shampoo at all. The room was very old, the toilet was very wore. On the window there were spider nets. The pillow cases were white color but some parts became yellow.2, The check out time writes 10:00-11:00, so I planned to check out at 11, and I also told the host that I would take a walk and then return before 11:00, he said okay. But when I came back at 10:55, the cleaner was in the room and almost completed the cleaning already, all of our things were moved and all the charging devices were unplugged. When I talked with the host, he was extremely aggressive and racism even I felt he was not a local. He said the check out time was 10:30 and he had the right to clean the room before guests check out. Not a professional and reasonable host.A very unpleasant stay, which is very pity cos I really like Monschau this town.

Stayed for 1 night, friendly owner, there is not such a fresh smell inside. Authentic ambiance. The hotel is in urgent need of maintenance/renovation. Room is fine, bathroom small and old and not completely clean. Location is perfect. Breakfast is copious but good. We didn't think spare ribs and chicken legs should have been on display.

First of all, we really liked the central location of the hotel. We were warmly welcomed into the accommodation. The room was on the 3rd floor and was reached via a narrow staircase. The room was very spacious and adapted to the historical charm of the city. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent breakfast, the owner outdid himself and we were even allowed to make sandwiches for us on the go. There was bread, rolls and croissants, grilled food, sausages, various cold cuts and cheese. Monschau mustard, homemade jams, a selection of yogurt, a fruit/vegetable plate, fresh scrambled eggs, tea, coffee and orange juice complemented the perfect breakfast. There are also inexpensive evening drinks available on site, as well as fruit and spirits.Dislike · Unfortunately there wasn't a good way to darken the room at night, but with a few little tricks you can find a way to do this too.
