We were guests at the MeerblickD21 apartment house for the last 5 days and we really liked it and we will definitely come back!The location is great - right on the Damenpfad, in the immediate vicinity of Marienhöhe and therefore very close to the beach promenade. You can also reach the bathhouse, the bathing or fishing house museum and the city center in just a few minutes. Definitely the best rating for this!The breakfast was great with very nice and attentive service as well as a very rich and lovingly prepared selection of fruit, bread and rolls, spreads, sausage and cheese, vegetables, dairy products and muesli. There were also freshly prepared egg and coffee specialties. We really liked this too.We had the Morgensonne 1 apartment with a nice bedroom including a bathroom and shower and a separate living room with a kitchenette and refrigerator - plus access to the terrace. Overall, super functional and homely. The only thing we were missing was sockets on the bedside tables - but of course that's a matter of taste.Conclusion: Great price-performance ratio! We will come again!

We had the pleasure of spending five days at the Hotel MeerblickD21 on Norderney and absolutely loved it! When we arrived with my dog, we were warmly welcomed. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and open, which immediately made us feel at home.We had the garden house 1 apartment, which had a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate guest toilet. The downstairs bedroom was very pleasant, and the infrared sauna was a wonderful highlight. A small kitchenette awaited us on the upper floor, which did not require a stove or microwave, but was still very practical. Our own balcony with a view of the inner courtyard was the perfect way to end the day. In addition, room or apartment cleaning including changing towels was offered daily.In the entrance area of the hotel there were two dog bowls with fresh water and towels to dry the dog after a walk. Dogs are not allowed at breakfast, but in my opinion that is perfectly fine.Overall, it was a wonderful stay at the Hotel MeerblickD21, and we would definitely like to come back!

Wonderful holiday apartment – perfect all around!We had a fantastic time in this tastefully furnished holiday apartment on Norderney. Central location in the middle of the city. Contact with the rental company was always uncomplicated and extremely friendly. No matter what concern we contacted, we were always helped quickly and helpfully. We felt completely comfortable and welcome. Thank you for this great time and the “magic” – we would love to come back!

serviceThe service in advance was a disgrace that we have never experienced before. When asked about the possibility of checking in at 8 p.m. the response was absolutely irritable and rude (although there is a key safe, so no problem). Further questions such as the parking situation were answered equally aggressively. Anything but hospitable and greatly diminished the anticipation.The service on site was friendly.RoomThe Dune View room was a nice size and modern. The infrared sauna was also great. Everything was clean and tidy. Unfortunately in August it was far too hot in the entire hotel and especially in the room (26 degrees). There is no air conditioning and ventilation - even when the outside temperature is only 20 degrees - unfortunately didn't help. The location of the room was on the ground floor and directly on a busy footpath, which made sleeping with the window open not possible.BreakfastSmall but niceOverall impressionHotel overall rather bland and functional. More of an apartment house than a hotel. Roof terrace with a great view, but only equipped with a few loungers without cushions or umbrellas. No comfort, doesn't invite you to linger.Value for money poor and we wouldn't come back.Attention: There are free drinks for a 5* rating!

1 star deducted because there is no proper bicycle storage. A Pedelec does not fit in the elevator, so you have to climb a flight of stairs (approx. 5-6 steps). The bikes could then be parked in a small courtyard. If you were nearby, an employee was kind enough to help. (Bicycles worth €8,000 cannot be left on the street in front of the hotel.). 👍🏻Otherwise everything, according to the hotel description, was excellent!!! First there was the excitement that there was a technical defect in our room, Weststrand 2. We were then able to move into Marienhöhe 3 for 2 nights, then Marienhöhe 2. The slightly better view from the French balcony comforted us over the missing large balcony for the first 2 days. Marienhöhe 2 and Weststrand 2 are mirror images of each other, only the sea view section that you can see from the bed and the bathroom is slightly different. With regard to other reviews (you should read the hotel description more carefully 😉), I would like to emphasize that although there is no reception, there was always a contact person there until the afternoon. The breakfast was very tasty in all respects, with the scrambled eggs/fried eggs (with ham, chives, bacon of your choice) being particularly praiseworthy. The eggs were fried to perfection. I can also mention that it would perhaps be very practical if there were a drinks machine, you first have to go shopping to fill the fridge. But there is always water (a large bottle in the fridge every day and a box in front of the roof terrace). The room was perfect for us. The view from the bathroom still had enough "privacy" thanks to the appropriate parapet height, the suction worked well, even in the separate toilet. The fact that a person has to "crawl" out of bed forward and not to the side didn't particularly bother us. Also not that it doesn't have a bedside table, the shelf above the bed is large enough and there is a reading light. Finally, as stated, there is no air conditioning. But the fan was quite high quality and worked well for the weather.

Unfortunately, it's more appearance than reality.-There is no reception- no bathrobes-broken bathroom door handle- Defective patio door (could only be opened halfway, scraped heavily on the floor- Base tile hangs down- Kitchenette with almost no equipment- Dog bite marks on window frames.- Breakfast is OK, but everything is very clear. A "girl" is probably just being trained, whether that will work out... wait and see.The other lady is trying very hard. But if you order two scrambled eggs with onions, but get two scrambled eggs with cheese and tomatoes, then that's just stupid (5 people in the dining room).Overall, our room seemed a bit unkempt. It was clean, but if I don't correct obvious deficiencies, it will seem strange to me as a guest.We will look for a different hotel next time we visit.

Hey! Together with my partner we were able to enjoy two unforgettable overnight stays in room Juist 2. It was incredibly beautiful and unforgettable.We were treated very friendly, attentive and extremely courteously during our stay.The room has a direct view of the North Sea. The restaurant "Marienhöhe" is just a stone's throw away.We were able to enjoy the time without restrictions and didn't even want to leave the room ;-)Thanks to a small kitchen (equipped with water, tea, coffee, etc.) this was not necessary.The layout of the room is designed so that you can see the sea even while showering.Overall, the room has very luxurious furnishings.We felt more than comfortable!The hotel's service is outstanding.On my birthday we were greeted with champagne, cake and a serenade in the morning.The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, it had everything your heart and palate could desire.(The scrambled eggs were freshly prepared for us and according to our wishes, there was salmon, shrimp, various types of cold cuts and cheese, muesli and lots of fresh fruit)We enjoyed this time to the fullest and were reluctant to leave.We would love to come back and look forward to seeing Thomas and his team!Chapeau for such a host, concept and design!Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💞

Attention: The hotel gives out a free aperitif for 5 star reviews.Disappointment on the second visit.We were already at MeerblickD21 once in 2021, and the stay was very pleasant back then, but it seems like a lot has changed.There was no contact upon arrival and arrangements were only made via short text messages. At that time there was a warm and detailed welcome from the manager, Thomas, who apparently no longer works there.The cleaning staff doesn't understand a word of German and very poor English, which often led to miscommunication. In addition, objects are often moved or devices are unplugged, whether it is the home fan or your own devices, such as the iPad while charging.Water bottles were previously available 24/7, but today this is no longer the case and you have to buy some yourself. Is water no longer a given in this price range?The service has therefore become significantly worse, only the staff at breakfast (which is very good by the way) is still very friendly and accommodating.The room is good, but not worth the money:- The toilet is tiny- Logging into the WiFi via the television, for Netflix etc., has a bug that means this is not possible- The wall has scratch marks from the TV- No air conditioningIt would have been three stars, but given the hefty price of €290 per night, there's another deduction, so you can expect more.

The apartment is great, central, very clean and modernly furnished. The sofa bed could be more comfortable as it sags in the middle and squeaks when occupied by two people. Otherwise we are extremely satisfied and recommend the apartment “Granat 2”.

We had a lovely stay on the occasion of a planned birthday getaway Sat-Wed.The Hotel Meerblick21 is not a classic hotel. No reception and no staff present at all times. But that didn't really bother us. Our inquiries started via cell phone were answered directly and, if necessary, a young, very friendly and polite employee came to the site in just a few minutes to clarify the matter. He seems to be “the man for all occasions” in all the associated accommodations and restaurants. We met him again and again from morning to evening. Before we arrived we were contacted in a friendly/polite manner and asked about our arrival time/ferry time to hand over the keys. Not yet fully arrived, we received the access data for our room via a key safe. That all worked out fine. We were there in midsummer weather. We also noticed this when we entered the room Juist2 with a balcony and sea view. This room is on the sea and sunny side, which unfortunately does not have air conditioning and the large windows lead to sauna-like heat in the room. Unfortunately, the pedestal fan could hardly provide any relief against this. This made it difficult to sleep in the box spring beds. The night's peace was also interrupted by strangers talking late into the night on the popular bench opposite on the meadow with lots of rabbits.The balcony is large but unfortunately there is no awning or parasol without a shaded area, so it could only be used in the evening hours. During the day, the curtains had to be kept closed as much as possible in the hope of blocking out sunlight and heat.The breakfast is not extensive but offers an absolutely sufficient selection. Egg dishes are freshly prepared, as well as coffee, tea, cocoa, and water, juices and milk are also available. Small warm baked rolls, salmon, fresh sausage specialties, as well as a cheese platter, a selection of fruit and vegetables round off the selection. The butter, fruit spreads, nougat cream, honey, quark, yoghurt... filled in small gas containers are well portioned. Unfortunately, there was no labeling on the selection of jars with jam, meat salad, etc. When asked, the service employee unfortunately only gave the answer “could be” - small labels would therefore be very helpful. The staff who were present at times were always friendly and accommodating.Every day there was the island newspaper from which, in addition to the weather forecast, activities could also be found.The question is what to expect and whether personal attention is needed.We had a lovely time on Norderney. It was perhaps something like a holiday apartment without a cooking facility, but with breakfast and daily room cleaning. We don't need more and we don't need less on vacation. However, we would no longer book this room in summer. In the low season it is certainly good to stay in the room and balcony.
