I was contacted via Telegram to fill out a fake review for this place. Safe to say I wasn't the only one. Should you trust this place? I'll let you be the judge.

I was here on a seminar trip for my FSJ, different than expected, it wasn't traumatizing, the staff was really very friendly and the area is really nice and big, there are lots of opportunities to retreat. The Semir was a very nice experience - I have never met so many great people. The only things I would complain about would be the rooms (a bit dirty and older mattresses), the WiFi range is semi good, in some rooms there is none at all and the bathrooms are a bit narrow but you can turn a blind eye. All in all, highly recommended 🦈🏳️‍🌈🤙👉👈

I was there from September 23rd. - September 27th, 2024 on a seminar trip as part of my FSJ. And it was traumatizing.Of our group of 35 people, about half of them had stomach problems, nausea, etc. during the entire stay, the assumption being due to a lack of hygiene in the house.Although the tap water was advertised as “good quality,” it was so calcified that no one could drink it.The bedroom door was installed crooked, so that there was a wider gap at the top towards the hallway and the door at the bottom got stuck on the floor when it was opened. The beds were uncomfortable and there was black dirt all over the walls up to the ceiling. Some of the windows were difficult to open and only hung in the frame at one corner. There were strange brown drops of dirt at the top of the windows. Most of the showers in the bathrooms were moldy, and in one bathroom you could see directly into the shower from the house across the street because there was no curtain or anything like that. All in all, not recommended at all.

The youth hostel itself is very nice, the area is large and there is something to discover everywhere, the seminar rooms, the small bar and the church are great and perfect for small concerts, the staff are also really nice. And the rooms are big enough. But there are also a few things that aren't so great. The rooms/showers weren't particularly clean, there was a lot of dust, cobwebs and lime/black stuff in the showers, it all seemed a bit worn out.Toilet roll holders, hand soap and new toilet seats would be nice.Unfortunately it was also very cold in the rooms because the heaters weren't on yet.

Perfect place for school trips, family celebrations, family reunions, group excursions: super friendly staff, rooms with special beds (many bunk beds) made by carpenters (some squeak funny). Children can run around freely on the grounds. Door codes regulate entry and parking. Great garden with lots of seating. There is giant chess, bowling, table tennis, patience games at tables and barbecue facilities on a large adjustable grill (top!)Food can be ordered. We had the organic version and that was good. Rolls delicious. A little more regional products would be great, but that's difficult, we know...Very good value for money for accommodation and food. Various parts of the buildings can be rented flexibly. Self-catering is also possible. We have already been there twice for our family reunion and would like to come back soon! Thanks to the Antoniq team!
