Great, neat and clean hotel, small-scale yet spacious. Peace and hospitality, personal involvement and very correct. Hoflichkeit am best.Very good cuisine. Everything is correct.You won't regret this.Nice swimming pool and excellent sauna.

We were there for 2 days and had booked a complete package with half board.The room was cozy, the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned, but meticulously clean. We noticed the cleanliness throughout the entire house. The staff and the Weigels family are extremely friendly and very accommodating. In the evening while eating, Mr. Weigels also took time for a short chat. The food is excellent, everything is fresh, regional and partly organic. In the evening on both days we were given a three-course menu, which we could choose in advance. Everything tasted very good and was attractively presented. The wellness area is small but nice. Everything here is super clean, sauna towels are available, you have to bring your own bathrobe. Large swimming pool available!The breakfast buffet was manageable, but in the end we didn't miss anything. Egg dishes are freshly prepared upon request. The coffee was very, very tasty, served freshly brewed in a Bodum pot.All in all we were very satisfied and can highly recommend the hotel.

Four of us (with two children) spent a weekend here and it was fantastic. With the children in the apartment, we were lucky that the pool was right next to us. The kids are still raving about the best schnitzel they've ever eaten. The service is friendly, extremely attentive and in a family atmosphere. Big compliments also to the concept with exclusively regional products. When we left we booked again for next year.

We were there with a few colleagues for a team event and were given a very warm welcome. Some of the rooms have already been renovated and are quite comfortable. We booked the arrangement and the service, as well as the food and drinks, were great! We basically had the wellness area to ourselves in the afternoon, pool, sauna and sunny outdoor terrace, what more could you want?! The only drawbacks for me were the bathroom, which had not yet been renovated, but was still clean, and the long walk from the train station was a bit difficult with the suitcases. There are enough parking spaces, but we were traveling a bit “ecologically”. We would love to come back and I would recommend the hotel and the beautiful surroundings for hiking!

The family-run hotel is centrally located in Winterberg Silbach on a main street. Mrs. and Mr. Weigel are very friendly and polite hosts.The service staff is very attentive and nice, the breakfast and dinner were delicious.A spa area with a sauna and a small swimming pool complete the whole thing. You can park in front of and behind the house.Despite the location on the main street, the room and the hotel are nice and quiet.It's only about 3 km to Winterberg, so it's a stone's throw to do sports there. Hotel is highly recommended.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 We couldn't have taken any better photos on the website

We were guests in this hotel for 5 days/4 nights and what a nice place this is. You quickly feel at home and it feels cozy because it is not very big. Extremely friendly owner and staff. Good food and our comfort plus room was fine with a good bed, modern compact bathroom and a balcony with sun in the afternoon. Hotel has sufficient parking spaces.You can reach Winterberg in ten minutes by car, but by bus is also an option because the bus stop is in front of the hotel.We enjoyed it and the stay was definitely worth repeating!

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Weigels Bergfreiheit boutique hotel to escape everyday life and find some peace and quiet. As soon as we entered the hotel we had a very positive, familiar impression. There is no large lobby or reception, which gives the whole thing a very cozy and personal atmosphere.Rooms and comfort:We had a room at the back, so we were able to sleep absolutely peacefully despite the location on the main street. The brand new box spring bed was very comfortable and gave us the rest we needed after our hiking tours in the beautiful surroundings. Everything was clean and well maintained, both in the room and throughout the hotel.Culinary highlight:An absolute highlight was the dinner. The 3-course menu was not only delicious, but also very attractively served. We were particularly excited about the individually prepared eggs at breakfast - a small but nice detail that makes the difference. The quality of the food and drinks was top, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was also very pleasant.Wellness area:The wellness area was small but cozy. The pool, which is 11 meters long, pleasantly surprised us as it made it possible to swim a few lengths. The sauna was also pleasant.Location and surroundings:The hotel is located in Silbach, right on the main street, which might seem a bit loud at first, but it didn't bother us at all. There is not that much traffic there and the proximity to many hiking trails and excursion destinations makes the location ideal for nature and hiking lovers. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel.Conclusion:We would book the boutique hotel Weigels Bergfreiheit again at any time, especially if we are traveling as a couple. It offers just the right mix of relaxation, good food and nature experience - perfect for a relaxing weekend for two!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Booked at short notice and arrived on the same day, we even got a free upgrade. The rooms are great. The bathroom is still in the style of the 70s (?), but very, very clean and tidy! The breakfast is a dream and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. The staff is consistently more than friendly and you feel really in good hands. Service is really important here and the stay exceeded all weekend trips we have ever taken. Thank you :)

We stayed in this hotel for two nights, breakfast is included in the price, the cafe is small but very cozy and homely. Everything was very tasty. The staff is very polite and friendly. There is an indoor pool and a sauna (but the sauna is open from 16 to 19 hours) There is parking.

We only went there to eat and can absolutely recommend it. The service was very friendly and attentive. You feel welcome here as a guest. The quality of the food is excellent. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Everything was right here, from the service and the main course to the dessert. And the Kahler Asten is highly recommended.We sat outside in the nice weather, but the inside also made a very cozy and well-kept impression.We'd love to come back when we're in the area.

Very nice and courteous staff.A small but excellent breakfast with regional production, fresh coffee and eggs.The pool is also a nice change.Everything is very, very clean and, although a little old, well maintained.Only the church right next door is a bit disturbing. So not suitable for late risers.

Booked a 5-day package at this hotel through discount trips. The employee welcomed us warmly, very nice entrance. Had a great stay, delicious dinner and an excellent breakfast. What was very disappointing was the room, which was from the 1960s. Very dated, this was reported to the owner, but an upgrade was not possible. This room cannot be rented out for this price, it is way too expensive. Helpfulness was more than perfect, owner very involved in making it a nice few days. Our advice is not to book a comfort room, but at least a comfort plus. Nevertheless, we can recommend this hotel 100%.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.The boss gave us a very friendly welcome and we were able to have a quick chat with him, which came across as very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and you have everything you need. The food was also very good. Not far from the hotel you can also go for a walk and explore nature.We can definitely recommend the hotel👍

Great hotel, everything was great from start to finish. To recover, to relax (there is even a wellness area with a pretty large, beautiful swimming pool!), to feast (you should definitely eat there too, very tasty!) and to recharge your batteries. Also best value for money ever.Here the guest is still king.We will be back definitely!

An oasis of well-being! I can highly recommend this wonderful, family-run hotel in the middle of great nature. Hospitality is still very important here, the rooms are designed with great attention to detail and everything exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere.First-class service, plus a small but nice wellness area with a great swimming pool. The whole thing is topped off with the truly exclusive cuisine. The dinner was a culinary delight, it was really of the highest standard, delicious. You can tell straight away that the kitchen team puts their heart and soul into it and I also like that they pay attention to regional and organic ingredients here.I can fully recommend this hotel and advise everyone to eat there too! Thank you dear Weigel family & team - I'll be back.
