Berghaus Schwaben

Very friendly owners and employees. All wishes were taken into account and there was a schnapps on the house. Food was very good and prepared quickly. Would love to come back.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting reservations for a WoE for the 2025 winter season.I didn't want to believe it at first, so I asked three times in writing. Only waiting list, you can only inquire again at the end of January 2025.You can't plan like that. It's a shame, we had been there every winter for many years.

Very nicely located mountain house with different room sizes and sleeping spaces. Warm water.Very nice and hard-working owner with her entire team,sometimes a bit awkward and unprofessional.All in all, a very nice 2 night stay.

We had a wonderful family weekend with an overnight stay at Berghaus Schwaben.The view from the terrace is really fantastic.The rooms are simple but cozy and clean, the food is delicious, fresh and plentiful. An extra compliment to the very committed and friendly team - thank you for the great stay!

First of all, I did not use any service from this house.A hiker who had fallen was in distress. The first aiders asked me to ask at Berghaus Schwaben whether the emergency call was made from there by a cyclist who had passed the accident site in front of me and whether the emergency services were on the way.I was complimented away in a very unfriendly manner with no information that I could then bring back to the first aiders. I wasn't even able to take water with me for the person who had fallen, quote "we don't have any bottles here".This behavior is very sad and completely incomprehensible to me! Of course you have stress on a sunny day with the corresponding number of visitors, but this wordless, minimalistic, what does it matter to us, behavior doesn't work in this case.

Always worth a hike, friendly staff

Very nicely located hut, with extremely nice and friendly operators. We felt very comfortable during the two overnight stays. The cozy atmosphere paired with the delicious and plentiful food rounded off the stay.

CAUTION!Very early this year, when the Berghaus Schwaben homepage wasn't even up yet, I booked an overnight stay for three people for mid-August and transferred 70% of the cost, just under €145, in advance after the booking was confirmed. One day before the planned tour and overnight stay, I see on the homepage that our planned arrival and overnight stay day, a Wednesday, is listed as a rest day. I was then a bit unsure whether our booking was correct and luckily I reached an employee of the Berghaus Schwaben by phone who told me that the booking couldn't be correct because the Berghaus Schwaben was closed on Wednesdays. Because of this information we did not arrive the following day.A day later, I received an email from the same employee who had given me verbal information the day before that the booking could not be correct, saying that the booking was correct and that unfortunately we had not arrived and a refund of the advance payment that I had requested had asked and which she had promised me the previous day by telephone due to an incorrect booking, cannot be carried out.This employee ignores - knowing full well that I cannot provide any written evidence - that she gave me completely different information the day before, because of which we did not come, and claims that I did not come because I was ill. She maintains this position in subsequent correspondence, and attempts on my part to speak to the boss are blocked.I was and still am flabbergasted and angry about this dishonest behavior on the part of (this employee) at Berghaus Schwaben. I hope that the boss at least finds out about the matter this way, since I didn't have a chance to speak to her personally.I advise all potential guests not to rely on verbal information from Berghaus Schwaben employees, always have everything confirmed in writing! As long as the situation is not sorted out, Berghaus Schwaben is no longer an option for me personally.

I can only rate the restaurant stay:- No card payment like at the lift- €200 will not be changed, €100 only after 2 p.m- Spaghetti was cut and served after 2 minutes. So not fresh- Service (according to the comments it must be the owner) unfriendlyThe world lives in the year 2024 and the world is coming to an end in Germany.A Paypal account or a card payment device takes 2 minutes to install. If we had to sleep on top of the mountain, we wouldn't have been able to eat.

The new operators are doing very well!I even got a coffee quite early in the morning :-)
