Once and not again. Was there with a friend yesterday around 2 p.m. Waited in line to place my order for almost 30 minutes. You had an ideal view of other guests who had to wait an almost desperately long time for some of the food they had ordered. Finally it was my turn and I was “received” by two very annoyed ladies. Nobody wants to do the job, you can see what's going on here. Um yeah.2:30 p.m., all desserts sold out. So ordered 2 drinks and 2x fries, it can't be too complex. I got drinks directly at the counter, and for the fries I got a beeper to let me know when the food was ready. At 2:45 p.m. I was back with my girlfriend, who was at least able to enjoy the great weather and the beautiful view.Because the beeper also after 30 minutes!!! There was no alarm, I went in and stood at the counter with 4 other annoyed guests like me, still waiting for my order. After another 15 minutes, finally the fries. Portion OK, fries hot. But that's the only positive thing. So we wolf down the fries and rush to the train. We lost a lot of time due to the long wait and didn't want to miss the last train at the end. Conclusion: the kitchen was hopelessly overwhelmed. Sorry, but 45 minutes waiting time for 2 portions of fries??? Others waited just as long for a bowl of soup…. And yes, lack of staff or not, but I find it unprofessional for the remaining staff to take out this frustration on the remaining guests. Just like the many passive-aggressive notes with which the dining room is plastered (no card payments, no 200€ notes, 100€ notes only after 1 p.m., no coins of 1 and 2 cents, only take one piece of cutlery per person, ..... ). You feel unwelcome and reprimanded. Too bad.

Nice terrace, great view. However, we stood in line for over an hour for our "food", which tasted like the simplest or cheapest convenience industrial food, but of course was relatively expensive. Never again. The fact that in 2024 you still won't be able to pay with a card in a "restaurant" also has a "Gschmäkle".

I stayed at the Berghaus Schwaben for 2 nights with a group from the Oberstdorf Alpine School. The landlady and her staff were very friendly. Everything was clean and tidy, the beds were freshly made and towels were ready. You could use the shower for €2. There were sinks in the rooms. Breakfast and dinner were very rich and tasty.

Self-service where you stand on your feet. A number of people gave up in annoyance. It feels like the price-performance ratio doesn't really fit. Leberkäse with potato salad was a thin slice and the potato salad was probably from a bucket. Cold wheat beyond reproach. The location itself is cozy with a great view and the staff has made a real effort, but in my opinion the processes need to be optimized.

Delicious food at fair prices. Everything is almost like before, including the design of the guest room. You have to order yourself and also pick up what you ordered.

We went to the mountain house with the family today. A room was specially cleared for us because we had a sleeping toddler with us. The operators were super nice, the food was also very tasty. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Hence 5 stars. Keep it up ❣️
