Hermann Buhl is my hero."Above and below 8000 meters above sea level" is a book that has always been with me for 28 years.Unfortunately, there were no seats available, but I will keep coming back until I find seats inside.

Last summer we stayed in two apartments with 5 young men. These are not luxurious, but absolutely sufficient. The hostess always has good mountain tips and exciting alpine stories up her sleeve. A great option for enthusiastic hikers and mountaineers with a great location (bus stop is a two-minute walk away).We would definitely come again!

We went hiking there in the summer. The apartments are spartan but absolutely adequately furnished; no one should expect luxury, but they don't need it either.Ms. Bögl made sure that we had a pleasant stay from start to finish. Be it organizing the transfer to the airport, giving advice on mountain tours or offering fresh mirabelle plums.If you are looking for a good starting point for a hiking holiday, this is the right place. In addition, the “Hermann Buhl” accommodation should be interesting for anyone with a little interest in alpine history. We would come back at any time.

In August we were guests of Ms. Bögl in the “Hermann Buhl” house for 10 days.The 5 stars go to the most hospitable and sweetest homeowner, Mrs. Bögl.We didn't miss anything, she was always there, asked about us, didn't turn down any of our requests and was always there to have fun. Those who come to Ramsau usually go hiking and only stay in their accommodation to sleep. It's absolutely perfect for that and you don't have to talk about the price-performance ratio, absolutely great! We'll definitely come back to Ms. Bögl next year because we already miss her! Thanks again for everything ❤️

The landlady is extremely nice, the apartments are clean and you can find everything you need there. We'll be back soon and are super happy that we found the Herrmann Buhl and Mrs. Bögl house. Thank you for the great stay and the great tour and restaurant tips.

If you like traditional accommodation and want to escape the modern frills, this is the place for you. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need. The landlady, Ms. Buhl, is a lady with her heart in the right place. Each room has a balcony where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains while having breakfast in the morning. Cows are at the door, an ideal starting point for hiking. Great bus connection in summer. We can only recommend the apartment. We'll be back.

The "Hermann Buhl" house is a real mountaineer's house: simple, reduced but very comfortable. The rooms are always pico bello. I've been coming to this property for about 10 years and we just really appreciate everything about this house. The hostess, Ms. Bögl, is so warm and has her heart in the right place.

This is a real mountaineering house with Mrs. Bögl as a kind soul and warm hospitality. It's furnished in a rustic, simple way, but everything is there and works perfectly. Everything was very clean and charming. If you also need competent information about the surrounding mountain landscape, this is one hundred percent the right place for you.

If you are looking for authentic, cozy accommodation in the mountains, this is the right place for you. Not luxury, but charm and comfort. No service, like in so many tourist places around the world, but real hospitality awaits you here. Mountain boots on the stairs, geraniums on the balcony, I couldn't imagine a nicer place to live. This is the third time we have been guests at the Buhl house and we always enjoy coming back. As soon as we arrived we heard this picturesque idyll of a wild, colorful flower meadow and the many well-kept, colorful flowers around the Buhl house. The view of the surrounding mountains, including the Watzmann, completes the picture.The holiday feeling set in immediately. Here you can unwind and completely immerse yourself in nature. Inside the house you will find beautiful, lovingly decorated rooms and holiday apartments. As expected, our apartment was clean and well maintained. The holiday apartments are equipped with high-quality, sturdy furniture (antiques). No cheap pressboard furniture!!There is also a kitchenette for cooking with all the necessary utensils. Ms. Bögel is very helpful, she always has an open ear, among other things when we had questions about hiking and the local plants and animals. Since we also had a few rainy days and didn't know what to do here, Ms. Bögel gave us excursion tips for these days. So, despite the rain, we had a lot of fun on these vacation days.We wish Ms. Bögel many more nice holiday guests.

I have been a guest here several times and also in other accommodations in the region. But I love it here the most. I think the location and atmosphere are the reason for this. But when it comes to cleanliness and helpfulness, I always feel extremely well looked after. Mountaineering is still alive and well here and anyone who is looking for it will find exactly that at Buhl. Anyone looking for high luxury, decadence, hypocrisy and laziness is wrong here. I can hardly wait to be here again and I'm looking forward to everyone putting their mountain boots next to mine and chatting with us in the evening about the peaks we've climbed or the alpine hikes we've done.

I look forward to being a guest here every year. Competent when it comes to mountain tours and excursions.“We” as a young couple - mountaineers / mountain hikers / tourers - found everything we needed! From the kettle to the salad bowl and if there was something that wasn't available, we just asked.Even if some furniture does not correspond to the current fashion standard. Everything worked so far! I also have to say that I value solid wood furniture more than pressboard.Mainly for reasons of sustainability.I keep coming back!
