Next to a nightclub so impossible to sleep if you are not going out. Unfortunately poorly isolated windows so wouldn’t recommend if you’re going to bed early. Beautiful rooms and good service otherwise, but without being able to sleep this counts for nothing.

Ideally located in the city center. Stopped in to dine! TOP! Service great! The Iberian was a real class! That alone made the visit worthwhile!

We ate here twice this week and it was very good and tasty. The soup is highly recommended. Also nice service. It is located in the center of Trier. Reservations are useful as it is very busy

We really wanted to like this hotel. When you walk in, it is charming and located in a very convenient part of town.We were warned by the hotel that they were located on pedestrian-only street. Parking was offsite and pretty inconvenient. It appears that all local parking garages in the area are €18 a night. Walking with wheeled suitcases down the pedestrian-only cobblestone walkway while trying to locate this hotel was not fun.Check-in was slow but smooth with a helpful clerk who showed us to our room and taught us how to use the air conditioning and heat. We had requested a room in the back of the hotel as we were warned from another reviewed that the street views were very loud but upon check-in, the clerk told us they did not see my request (even though I have an email exchange with the hotel requesting this when the booking was made). She did assure us that the windows were soundproof. The room was nicely decorated with many thoughtful amenities. The room was also clean and the bed was comfortable (although the pillow was tiny and flat). Our problems began when we returned back to the room after dinner. The room was over the restaurant’s kitchen annd uncomfortably hot so we turned on the air conditioning. As we were shown how to use it, my husband and I both felt confident that we were doing it correctly. However, after hours of trying to adjust it, the air conditioning never came on. The windows in the hotel did open but we were on the second floor and the noise below us was incredibly loud. At about 1 AM, we decided to just cope with the very hot temperatures and close the windows. Even with the windows being closed, we could hear very rowdy people all night, incredibly loud and booming music that continued to wake us up, and drunk people banging beer bottles until almost dawn. When our alarm went off after we had only been asleep for a short while, we woke up sweaty and exhausted.Breakfast was very nice with many good options. Our biggest disappointment came at checkout. When the checkout clerk asked us how our night was, we mentioned the air-conditioning didn’t work and the disruptive noise level kept us up much of the night. She sweetly apologized but did not seem at all surprised with either complaint. We were then handed a bill for €40 more than our travel confirmation email. We politely disputed this with the clerk who then called her boss. Even after showing them our confirmation email, they refused to honor the guaranteed rate. We tried to argue but they would not budge and honor their previously agreed upon rate. We left with a bad taste in our mouth because it felt like they were dishonest that every turn.Trier is charming and we enjoyed strolling the streets, eating delicious food and trying some local wines. We look forward to returning one day but will definitely not be staying at this hotel.

We were very happy at this hotel. Our room was absolutely delightful and charming. It was comfortable and private with plenty of room. Our only issue was the internet would not work in our room or at certain areas of the hotel. …

Our hands down favorite hotel in Germany. They stored our luggage and took it to our room. (We had to take the stairs to our room but I think there is an elevator if needed). …
