A nice well-kept facility and the family rooms are a good idea. The wooden lying surfaces in the adults' beds are no longer modern/outdated and it is not comfortable to lie on.

In itself it's a great youth hostel, the food tastes good and much more. Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep well most of the time because the blanket is heavy. That's something you get used to. WiFi doesn't work and you have poor reception. I can still recommend it

I was accompanying a school trip and we spent the night here. I arrived with a lot of skepticism because the reviews weren't exactly great.But all the skepticism and bad reviews were quickly put to rest. We were all given a very friendly welcome and assigned rooms. The rooms were all nice and clean and tidy and, depending on which side your room was on, they were really quiet. The rooms on the street side were of course significantly louder, at least in the morning, but you can't blame the operators for that.The breakfast was more than enough for me. There were fresh rolls, a decent selection of sausage and cheese, various muesli and grain flakes and also various side dishes such as yoghurt. The toppings that ran out quicker were refilled very quickly. So you could really have a decent breakfast.We always had a changing menu for dinner. In terms of taste, this was completely fine and, above all, sufficient.I think the location itself is really beautifully designed and you can tell that the operator is constantly moving on and renewing and beautifying many things. The staff is completely friendly and even when I was awake much earlier than the rest, an employee from the kitchen simply made coffee so that the day could start. And that 1.5 hours before the actual breakfast.There are only a few sockets in the rooms, but these can easily be expanded with junction boxes. You can also ask the staff about this, as I noticed.So I would come back at any time and can really only recommend this youth hostel. I was also taught better and learned not to rely on any reviews.

Location was great, unfortunately there wasn't even soap in the room and no toilet paper, it was 40 degrees in the rooms permanently (no ventilation), table tennis blades were all broken and there was a lot of noise

Very good place at a cheap price. Most of the time the rooms are empty. I'm not sure how they make a profit. However, the lady at the reception was very friendly and could speak English. The male receptionist speaks English, but only speaks German.

Solid, you can definitely use it for short trips. The only strange thing was the lack of hand soap in the bathrooms.

It was a good new experience. It's very conveniently located in the old town, it's enough for sleeping and a short break in Görlitz. The breakfast is fine and is completely sufficient.

Very nice youth hostel, building in the historic old town (center) of Görlitz, combining past and future in the architectural style, clean, spacious, great food, everyone is very friendly, caters to the individual needs of the guests.

Absolutely centrally located... great location..But.... what would result from this would be perfect for cyclists.... difficult for drivers. But the location, facilities and friendly staff partially make up for the shortcoming.
