Incredibly unfriendly staff. We were really looking forward to spending two nights here as it looks like a beautiful establishment. We submitted a reservation request for two nights and the hotel responded back with an offer for different nights - I thought perhaps I had gotten the dates mixed up so messaged back: hey maybe there’s a typo - these are the dates we’re looking for! The hotel “revised” the offer, changed the room and updated the dates in the attachment. We were excited! However, when I received the confirmation the dates were wrong. When I called the front desk was wildly impolite, frustrated that they had to correct ME twice (I’m sorry, but if I choose the dates I’m right and you’re wrong), and when I mentioned that sending two offers with the wrong dates was both confusing and disingenuous the gentleman was so rude that I question whether or not he should be in the hospitality industry. Truly a disappointing experience. Furthermore, this experience leads me to believe they were deliberately trying to trick me into booking the wrong dates… if you send a reply to my correction with a “revised” offer that is still incorrect that seems wildly disingenuous. What a disappointing experience.

We spent a lovely holiday at the Hotel Hindeburglinde. The city of Berchtesgraden can be reached in 15 minutes. The rooms are nice and big and clean. Modernly furnished. The bathroom is nice and spacious. We had a salt crystal room with a large balcony. The heated swimming pool: great! The staff was very friendly. The food is of good quality and very good. We can only recommend the hotel!

Our stay in the Hindenburglinde this year - as in 2023 - was once again a unique pleasure. We arrived and felt “at home”.The warm and competent hosts, the totally friendly service staff and the outstanding cuisine made our stay an unforgettable holiday! It couldn't be better!Our heartfelt thanks again for that!

The hotel has very large, renovated rooms. We had a great view of the mountains from our balcony. The small wellness area is perfect for relaxing after hiking and the heated outdoor pool can also be used in cooler weather. Everything is super clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.The breakfast buffet probably has the largest selection of fresh fruits I have ever seen and the 4-course evening menu was also excellent.You can start hiking directly from the hotel and there are many great excursion destinations in the immediate area.For us it was a very nice vacation, the perfect mix of active and relaxing vacation.

My wife and I spent a 9-day hiking holiday in Berchtesgadener Land with accommodation at the Hotel Hindenburglinde. The hotel is very modern and of high quality, both in the rooms and in the wellness area. The service is perfect, the staff is very friendly and the food tastes excellent.The view from the balcony of the peaks of the Hochkalter and the Watzmann is magnificent.We really enjoyed our stay here, so we will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend the hotel.

I stayed at the Hindenburglinde for a week with my brother and my father, who has now visited this hotel for the fourth time. The house is family-run in the 3rd generation and is one of the smallest 4-star hotels in Bavaria. I felt comfortable from the first moment. While my brother and my father shared the deluxe suite Forest Mood, I slept in the single studio “Alpin Deluxe”. The room is quietly located on the forest side and you can only hear the cowbells in the distance every now and then. The hotel is located on a federal road that takes you to the town of Ramsau in just a few minutes, but is still quiet if you have a room facing the pool or forest. My room was very attractively furnished, large with a balcony and a large bathroom with (rain) shower. The room always smelled pleasantly of wood. My family's room faced the pool. Since there were also some families with children in the hotel, it was often very noisy in the afternoon, especially because some adults did not think it was necessary to explain to their child that they were not in the outdoor pool and that certain rules had to be followed. For example, people did gymnastics on the 1,000-year-old linden tree that gave the hotel its name and is specially fenced in. But the hotel can't do anything about it. Pool and sauna were open every day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is both the classic Finnish sauna and a steam sauna with a lower temperature.The hotel offers buffet breakfast and dinner. Every evening (except Wednesdays - day off) you get a 4-course menu consisting of a starter, intermediate course, main course and dessert. The desserts in particular are always a poem! Compliments to the patisserie boss! You can choose which dish you want to eat in the evening every morning at breakfast. There are 4 different main courses and 2 soups as starters and 2 desserts to choose from every day. Requests for changes are always welcomed. You also receive the morning post every morning with suggestions for excursions for the day.I really enjoyed my stay at the Hindenburglinde. The Resch family runs the hotel and you can always come to them with any questions. The service was always friendly and accommodating. I would be happy to visit this house again, maybe at Christmas 2025. Thank you for the wonderful time!
