It's awesome that this still exists! Memories come back. I just found a postcard that my parents sent me there on August 10, 1989 when I was on vacation there with my kindergarten. A few days later I had my accident, which wasn't so nice. But overall it was a nice vacation. I'll definitely go there again.

We have been coming to this accommodation for many years, often several times a year. It is quiet, family friendly and good value for money. And the beautiful view is free.

I was there with my class in October 2023 for a school trip, and it cost €400 and there were 13 hours of travel ahead of us. When we stood in front of it, it looked very unkempt and uninviting. We waited 10-15 minutes in the cold until we could get in. After 10 - 15 minutes the caretaker came and explained the rules to us. Then we all went to our rooms and that's when the shock came. We opened the creaking door and it looked like prison. Very cold floor, there was a tomato on the cupboard, the windows were so damaged that we couldn't even open one window because otherwise it would fall on us. The beds... disaster. So I looked at all the beds to see which was the cleanest so that I wouldn't throw up in the night from disgust. Still, all the beds were disgusting. The beds were full of damage and they were also brown because of the lead. I looked at the pillows, mattress and blanket and I have never seen anything so disgusting. There were blood stains and body fluids all over the place, who knows what it all was, but the blanket, mattress and pillow had at least three stains on it and the mattress... that was the dirtiest. The nicest thing about the room was that we had a sea view but this window area was also very damaged. And there was only one power outlet by the door. ALSO ONE THAT WAS PLACED FULLY ON THE TOP. Who should that be enough?? The mirror and sink were so-so, so the sink was also damaged and the mirror was dirty. Next up was the food. Well THAT was the WORST... first of all there is a 30 meter queue because no one can divide it up so that everyone doesn't eat at the same time. It would be better if each group of visitors had their own time for eating. It was our turn and there was a slightly older lady serving food and she is so disrespectful, you can dare to be so disrespectful to people you have never seen before. Awkward. It was your turn and you had to say DIRECTLY what you wanted. Otherwise you would have been so insulted that you would have been scared. There are people who wanted to ask when it was their turn whether it was pork or beef because they weren't allowed to eat certain things. After you asked whether it was pork, they immediately screamed and complained, "NO YOU SEE NOT THAT'S WITH BEEF" or when someone asked about beef she said NO!!!! Really arrogant. And if you couldn't decide in one second, she takes a really pissed breath and then when you have decided she takes hold completely aggressively into the food and slap it on your plate and when you say thank you there is no response. Honestly, if you hate children so much and are disrespectful, find another job. We were treated like dogs by everyone still sweet. And at breakfast it was the same every day, she was really disrespectful. One day it happened. It was breakfast and the queue was full with the whole youth hostel, because it was so full, there was chaos and everything was a mess , then ACCIDENTALLY dropped a plate (it looked like it) and the bomb exploded. The woman freaked out and threw a tantrum and screamed all together and said, "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT WHAT'S THAT "MY GOODNESS" NOW I HAVE TO CLEAN EVERYTHING HERE" and so on. Even though he didn't throw it himself The one who was behind him. Then my teacher jumped up and gave this woman a lesson about what she could think of for being so disrespectful to us, etc. And then she was quiet. The food was so disgusting that we... We bought our own for the morning and evening and then ate it. There was hair in the food and the food from the last few days was simply smuggled to us thrown and we got in trouble for it and you NEVER hear ANYTHING AGAIN!!!!

A wonderful place for children and young people who want to get away from the stuffiness of the big city with all its facets. Nature experiences, good and balanced food, great accommodation provide a nice setting, especially for groups, to take something with them into life. In harmony with nature, on the beach, in the wind, with the changing tides... and to experience what else there is in life besides games and smartphones ;-) Definitely worth a trip!Update June 2021: The house has changed very favorably and the new team greets guests warmly and invitingly. The cuisine is very tasty and tasty under the new kitchen team. Definitely worth it!Update 2024:Very pleasant and inviting facilities. Ideal place for short breaks.

Was there on a school trip, mattresses were completely dirty (stains, blood, vomit), some of the rooms were moldy and a window was blown out.You really can't go there. The only good thing was the chef, who was very nice.

Our vacation was spontaneous in nature. This address is a tip for self-caterers and explorers on the island. The operators were very friendly right from the start and even gave us tips and tricks for next time. In the morning you have a unique view of the sea and the guests who were there at the time were a very nice and considerate addition. My conclusion: We'll be back!

The Wilmersdorfer has recently been under new management and I can only recommend it! It has made such a positive transformation. This is probably also because Ms. Lück grew up in Denmark and incorporates the Danish hygge feeling with her creativity into the Wilmersdorfer Nordseeheim. As soon as you enter you get an idea of the transformation the house has undergone. - History meets modernity and pure cosiness! In the lounge, seating groups invite you to linger, everything is lovingly decorated with small details and pretty pictures and the blue lamps are just a transition to Amrum's blue sky!In the breakfast room everything is spruced up, maritime-themed, with lovingly arranged flowers on the tables. Here you can enjoy your breakfast, again with a phenomenal view. The rooms have been refreshed with a loving eye for detail and everything is really nice, attractive and clean!Ms. Lück is a gift for the Wilmersdorfer and I hope that many more guests discover this new North Sea home for themselves.
