A rather historical building - the first hostel was built here in the century before last, oh what, millennium.A bit "built up" during the wild GDR times, but gradually renovated in recent years. If you want to sleep peacefully and well, this is the place for you. Brilliantly located on a mountain ridge, far from any other civilization. The rooms are spacious, functional, with a separate toilet and shower. Flat screen TV can also be clearly seen from the bed.Parking spaces at or next to the house. Also worth mentioning is the observation tower next door, which you can climb without being afraid of heights. There should be 101 steps...Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our visit - the breakfast (buffet) was simple but high quality, especially worth mentioning the lovingly prepared scrambled eggs with fresh herbs.

The location is currently closed and will probably be closed for the whole summer after the winter break... But nature and the observation tower still invite you to linger on the Rotstein.

Were there on December 30, 2021. We were the only guests. Breakfast extra just for us. There was nothing to complain about. Ambience only 3 stars because everything wasn't quite finished yet but we want to go again then maybe there will be more stars. Unfortunately it was no longer possible to book a room for New Year's Eve 2022 to 2023 otherwise it would definitely have had more stars for ambience. But the view is awesome. Would love to come back there.

On a hike at the turn of the year, we were pleasantly surprised that the mountain hotel was open. Courteous treatment even though it was just drinks, excellent green tea and cappuccino. We look forward to your next visit! Then we'll try our way through the promising menu :-)!

Quaint restaurant with hotel. The staff is super friendly and very committed. Of course the food tastes good too! The new operators are very committed.By the way, a reservation ensures a place during peak times :)

Tried it out on New Year's Eve with delicious food and it was really great! DJ played something for every age group 👍🏻 Atmosphere also gets a thumbs up, but the 6-course menu was awesome......and we were full! 😁......gladly again......and certainly a worthwhile excursion destination in summer.

We went for lunch on Christmas Day with 12 people and 1 toddler (2 years old). Unfortunately, that was a failure. The starter soup was lukewarm, the duck sauce was too salty and the price for the buffet was an outrageous €45 per person + the drinks came extra. The hammer was that the toddler was also charged €15! Conclusion: Never again!!!

Merry Christmas, after today's lunch you'll lose faith in good gastronomy. Price performance a disaster. Stretched starter soup, 3 bowls as a salad buffet, some lukewarm main courses and the big hit: dessert buffet with unpacked sweet parts from the supermarket - all for a mere 45 euros per person. And now the impudence: children with fries and nuggets for 22 euros, with all due respect for holidays and price increases: a straight 5, saved by friendly and polite staff...hopefully they are the winners of this "offer", shame on you... .
