Was here for a big birthday. The food was very tasty, from the starters, the great main courses to the delicious desserts and cakes. The service was attentive. We'll definitely come by again!

We were invited to a wedding here, in advance, the hall is beautiful and it was lovingly decorated with candles, there was a playground outside, which unfortunately was probably missing a seesaw and I, like my table neighbors, found the food rather disappointing. The spaetzle had a burnt aftertaste and the potatoes were extremely salty in places. It's a shame because the staff was very friendly and I'd heard a lot of good things about the food there.

Nice service and good food are given. The ambience is also great when the weather is nice.

I would like to rate the monastery inn as part of our wedding celebration.The monastery inn impressed us both with its beautiful location and delicious food, which is why we decided to hold our wedding celebration here. Arranging an appointment was very straightforward via email and telephone contact. We were allowed to inspect the premises in advance and received some information about costs and processes in advance. We were also given a brochure with prices, rooms, food variations, etc. We found the prices for the service to be a bit high, but we agreed to it as part of our wedding. A few weeks before our celebration, we met with a representative of the monastery inn to discuss the final process. The champagne reception, buffet (starter, main course and dessert) were scheduled at a time to ensure everything ran smoothly.At our party we unfortunately discovered that only one waitress was assigned to the service. It was a very warm summer day, so of course the demand for drinks was increased. Unfortunately, the inn does not have air conditioning or fans in the rooms we booked, which unfortunately meant that no remedy could be found here. I would like to emphasize here that I do not blame the waitress at all and that this criticism is in no way directed at her. The lady did her best to satisfactorily serve our approximately 40 guests. As you can imagine, however, this works rather poorly as a lone fighter. Especially when drinks orders are being placed at a buffet and the plates have to be cleared at the same time. I have to say that for the prices charged for such an event, a functioning service MUST be guaranteed.When I brought the criticism to the reception the next day, all I was told was that you were sorry and that the service staff were actually trained to serve such a large group on their own... This statement was simply disappointing.Now I would also like to highlight positive aspects. The food was of the highest quality and was excellently prepared by the kitchen. Everyone on the team at the monastery inn was always helpful and committed.We would also like to thank you for the wedding gift from the inn, which is certainly not a given. We would also like to thank you for letting us use the sun terrace free of charge for our celebrations.All in all, I can say that the Klostergasthof Roggenburg as an event location still needs improvement in the area of ​​service planning.
