Ferienhof, Bio-Bauernhof Ortmann im Allgäu

We had a really nice holiday at Ferienhof Ortmann.We were warmly welcomed and introduced to the farm's events.Even during our stay, there was usually someone available who could be asked questions.The atmosphere is simply wonderfully warm on the farm!The meadow apartment is cozy, clean and well-equipped. We felt very comfortable and particularly enjoyed the view of the meadow from our balcony.We didn't use the farm's products (eggs, milk and bread) because we are not milk and egg lovers and unfortunately the bread couldn't be offered in our time.Our children were happy to help get the eggs from the chicken coop. They had a lot of fun with all the animals, looked after them and helped muck out the horse stable.The area has a lot to offer, we went hiking a lot and enjoyed the nearby swimming lake and many of the sights.Since we have friends in the area, we will definitely come here again and then hope for a free apartment on the Ortmann family's farm.We wish the host family all the best! My family and I have been going to Ortmann's farm regularly for around 20 years. We are always thrilled and feel very comfortable there. The apartments are cozy and clean, the hosts are very welcoming. A perfect place to relax, go hiking or experience life on the farm. There is also a lot for children to play with.As always, everything is good, a perfect vacation. Thank you again!

We are 2 families from Ulm and we have been spending our Christmas holidays with the Ortmanns on their farm for 20 years. We were always very satisfied, the apartments are very nice and everything is there. We like farmer Friedel and his family best :) we feel very welcome every year and look forward to our vacation every December. Your Ulmers!!!

After the initially positive experience, the experience unfortunately turned negative on our penultimate day.While we helped the farmer with mucking out and relocating calves, we were allowed to listen to stupid sayings about why we didn't work faster and that the farmer had to do everything himself because my wife didn't have enough strength to transport the calf.After lunch we were talked stupidly about not moving the remaining calves. After that we had enough and left early.I can no longer accept having to pay to do their work there. We are neither trained farmers nor do we have much experience with animals and we were expected to already know everything.Here you can pay for helpfulness and listen to stupid sayings.

Large, beautiful apartment, nice hosts, fresh milk and eggs, lots of space and play opportunities for children. Soccer field with goal, trampoline, climbing frame, seesaw. Horses, goats, cows, cats. Everything your heart desires. And peace and landscape, it's beautiful there!

We spent a week at the Ortmann organic farm. We were warmly welcomed by Fridolin (the farmer) on a Saturday. He showed us the farm and our holiday apartment. The apartment is furnished with attention to detail and is color coordinated. You're not missing anything. We would like to highlight the well-equipped kitchen and also the fact that towels and bed linen are included, which saved us a lot of luggage as a family with three children. The beds are comfortable and the extra bed for the 5th person is a real bed and not a cot. There are cupboards in every room to store all your clothes and a coat rack in the hallway.We stayed in the courtyard apartment, which has a terrace (direct access from the living/dining room) with a table and chairs. From there you can look directly onto the farm and have everything in view.There is a very familiar atmosphere and we felt very comfortable on the farm and in the apartment from the first moment.The following activities are available on the farm for children:- Bicycles- Pedal tractor- Trampoline- Swing/climbing frame- Goal wall- Soccer goalAnimals for the children include Lilly the cat (very tame and fond of children) and two horses (Happy and Peppy). We went for a walk with the horses and the children were also able to ride Happy. Of course, the horses were also cleaned and fed by our children and the stable was happily mucked out. Then there are two goats that you can also go for a walk with. You can also help the farmer feed the calves.One evening the Ortmann's prepared stick bread for the children and we spent a lovely evening at the barbecue area with the Ortmann's and another family who lived in the meadow apartment. Fridolin and his son Simon answered all of our farm questions with the patience of an angel.Our highlight was of course the fresh organic milk straight from the milk tank, the fresh eggs from the free-range chickens and the home-baked bread from the farm.In terms of landscape, the farm is located at the very end of a small village with no through traffic with a view over meadows and fields. Many supermarkets and drugstores are in nearby Isny ​​(7 minutes by car). We took a few trips from there. (Pfände 35 min; Hündle 30 min; thermal baths 30 min; Oberstdorf 50 min)We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly, idyllic and great for children. Wide range of offerings on and around the farm. The holiday apartments are clean, lovingly furnished and beautiful.
