Reply to Udo Wilken:Every campsite operator would like to know who is hanging around their site.“Rabbit” is not written on anyone’s forehead.Nobody enters a campsite without registering first. And especially not at lunchtime.We've had a lot of bad experiences with people who just wanted to "look around" and came back at night only to break up some of the caravans. Since then, our place has been monitored by video.It's sad that you have to resort to such means.Regarding the other reviews:It's true that the place is a bit old, but we don't have half a million to build new sanitary facilities. All we can do is try to keep everything clean and tidy.

We parked the motorhome in town and got there on foot. When we entered the property and looked around, we were asked in an unfriendly tone what we were looking for and whether we wanted to register first. It may be that we made a mistake. But the sound makes the music. You don't treat potential customers like shady rabble. Bad advertising for the place. We'd rather drive on.

We were at the campsite for a short vacation. Unfortunately, everything was under water due to constant rain. But they tried so hard to make our 3 day stay as pleasant as possible. Really great!! Friendly and helpful, we would like to come back next year. The place is nice, the sanitary facilities are super clean and you can easily reach many excursion destinations.

Ok, the place is - like the friendly operators - a bit older. But it's so beautifully situated between the meadows and the outdoor pool! Splendid! You can also stay overnight in the motel on site and optionally book a delicious breakfast! The places for the caravans are separated from each other by small walls. Rental caravans are also available! I've been coming for many years!

You can't get new furniture for 50 euros a night, but that's okay. The kettle saved me in the evening, I drank warm tea ;), a warm shower was a relief after the fresh wind on the bike ;), the room is large with a terrace. Except for the fact that the down pillow smelled a bit and I lay on the sofa cushion instead, everything was fine. I couldn't sleep. There was also a tickle under the blanket: mites?! I put on a pair of long leggings and then we were good to go. I had a coffee grinder with me and ground fresh coffee in the morning ;)Recommendation to the motel: wash the down pillows and blankets (uncovered) at least once a year - not just the bed linen -, preferably in summer, then they dry quickly in the sun 🌞🌞🌞, for hygiene reasons. And always 60°C, because of bacteria and mite infestation. Otherwise, everything else in the ground floor 1-room apartment was clean and tidy. There are windows everywhere for ventilation. Everything in the bathroom was clean and okay. Fresh garbage bags.☆♡☆

A quiet place to linger, shops, restaurants and a gas station are nearby. A play hall for the little ones and a swimming pool can also be found nearby.A family-run campsite with motel rooms, there is a normal breakfast in the morning, the sanitary facilities and rooms are clean.

Very friendly place operators, everything you need is in order. The prices are appropriate.Unfortunately, the site is surrounded by wind turbines that can be heard and seen day and night. A beautiful environment looks different.

I have never met such nice people on my bike trip as at this campsite in Wesselburen. Apparently tenters don't come that often, because at the registration desk they didn't know how much a tent costs for one night, so I was asked if €10 was okay and if I didn't like it, I'd get something back. The operators are really very warm and the long-term campers are also smiling, courteous and helpful and took care of me. The operator offered to put my bike in the garage at night. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, the campsite is divided into several areas named after North Sea islands. The sanitary facilities are perhaps a little older, but clean. I was allowed to choose a parking spot, the dense hedges mean there are places protected from the wind and the lawn is well maintained. The location is quiet, but still central.
