We let ourselves drift by chance and were rewarded with a sensational prehistoric museum and a delicious meal... we were speechless about the large and valuable collection of prehistoric animals and fossils that the boss himself had put together... crazy. Afterwards we had a very good meal cooked by the boss in the country inn, the service and the boss were very nice and the cats didn't bother us at all, they just wanted a few cuddles here and there. Thanks for the hospitality and stay healthy. Kind regards Karolin and Manja

Country inn with charm. A nice, rustic staff and boss. Facilities may not be up to date, but they are meticulously clean. The breakfast is excellent. The dinner was home-style. Some cats provide relaxation and entertainment, there is also a museum and various animals (turtles and emus).

It couldn't be worse. Just don't take a dog with you. They're even banned in the beer garden because of the cats. Only transients get lost here. I couldn't find any locals. Keep it up!!!

With reference to Ms. Dörffeldt's review (August 16, 2024) and your response to it, I would like to briefly say something.I'm 49 years old, one of the three older women ;-)The hotel, even if it is described as a country hotel, has absolutely nothing to do with your pictures on the website. The three of us were accommodated in an adjoining building and my single room, for which I paid 95 euros (according to their website that would be the price for an EZ Comfort), was a small, dark hose from 1970. The toilet brush and shower head were just as old . There was neither a hairdryer, soap, towel rack, nor bottle of water and the WiFi didn't work either. Given the price, that's the minimum standard for me...which you're unfortunately far from. The garden (beer garden) was completely overgrown and there was green water in the fountain, with a growth of algae that started to smell quite bad in the evenings. The bike room was a small, cluttered old storage room, hidden behind a stack of old boxes and pallets, where there was hardly any room for the bikes and we were afraid the thing would fly in our facesMr. Neiderhell....you advertise on your website with a standard or comfort that you are far from being able and willing to comply with. We didn't try to push the price down by any means possible, but wanted to pay the price that was appropriate for these rooms. There was no concession on your part, on the contrary, it was more of a hidden threat that you could immediately give the rooms to someone else.......with the knowledge that there are no more free rooms in the area...... and cleverly they collected the money in cash as soon as they arrived. And as for the bottle of schnapps... despite everything, we had dinner with you for good money and asked you for a "reconciliatory schnapps".... but even that wasn't possible. The three of us then shared a small (20 ml) schnapps that we had brought with us.If you go on a hike or bike trip lasting several days with little luggage, you don't need a lot of comfort or luxury, which is why none of the three of us had high expectations of the accommodation, but rather what we can expect for this money. Maybe you just find out what the standard is for this money and adapt the rooms a little to the pictures on your website, then many people would probably be happier.

Hello,Were traveling by bike,Luckily we only have one night. The food and service were ok, the draft beer was nice and cold, the boss cooks himself, the village has no other restaurants.Anyone who likes cats is in good hands here... in the kitchen (!), in the restaurant (in the evening the house cat likes to lie on the covered cereal buffet and clean itself! Delicious.Actually, they were everywhere. Our room was covered in mosquitoes and spiders, the toilet flusher was broken, and there was only a little water coming out of the shower.Overall, there was a clear renovation backlog. What was unusual was the direct and immediate request to pay the bill in cash(?!)Guests have probably already checked out immediately, we can understand that.We won't be coming back.Since the boss likes to respond to bad reviews, we didn't exaggerate or conceal anything.

Subterranean for the money: ancient rooms with angled beds, ancient shower, hard towels, everything from the seventies. The price is a disgrace. We couldn't negotiate either. It may be that the prices in this area are higher than elsewhere, but this is actually a complete rip-off.

Old country inn. Very idyllic location. Family and child-friendly. However, if you want modern comfort, you should go to a city hotel. The inn is rural, you are accompanied by cats that live there, the food is delicious, it is still cooked properly and you are surrounded by lots of greenery and a beautiful landscape. The host has some tips for things to do. We'll be back next year.

Even though we also received a harsh answer, we are also of the same opinion as some other reviewers before us: the overnight price (135€) was too high, even though the price for breakfast was only shown on the invoice as 6€ (for 2 people). became...Even with a decent price for the breakfast provided, the room was too expensive. We have already been to various country inns and therefore allow ourselves a comparison.Since we were just passing through, we accepted it.The bed was ok.The food in the restaurant was very cheap and ok. Breakfast was also OK.The cats... well, it's debatable whether they should really have free access everywhere. We simply expected more.We wish the Neiderhell family all the best. They were very friendly to us.Maybe you'll use the feedback you've received as an opportunity to rethink a few things or to adjust the description of the rooms so that other guests don't experience these surprises.

Great here, nice people, great food, what more could you want. Very quiet in the country, that's how I like it.
