Price performance is top. Eat good Bavarian bourgeois.Rooms are a bit older, but that doesn't matter to us.If you expect 4 or more stars in this price category, you have no idea.There is often a lot of complaining at a high level.We have been there for many years and always find it great.

We were there 2 nights.Of course the rooms are a bit older, but they were clean and functional.Eat:Breakfast was absolutely OK. What you need for breakfast is what you get.We didn't have lunch.Dinner was OK too.What was great was that the drinks were free from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.We always found a place at a table. Despite being fully booked. There are many adjoining rooms in the dining area.Some people should lower their expectations a bit given the price.They think they get a 5 star hotel and food for the price.So overall it's absolutely great for the price.Nice hotel in a very good, quiet location.The service is very good and friendly.We'll be back.

Two former restaurants have merged! This means winding paths up and down to the restaurant! The bathroom and sauna score points for this! Eat delicious Bavarian cuisine! It is refilled several times! Drinks free in the evening! Self-service and sometimes long queues!

An objective assessment is not that easy:If you stay on full board light for a week,Lunch is kept simple, just skimpyIf the guest has to spend €300, they should lower their expectations a bit.The breakfast is plentiful and good.Dinner changes daily. It's plentiful but sometimes there are dishes that you don't really like. But there is always a choice between several dishes. Large selection of salads. Drinks are free during meals.Unfortunately there are no fixed seats and the restaurant is often full.The rooms are okay and mostly with a balcony.It is clean but the rooms are pointed“Signs of use” that could be removed with little effort.The location is great if you have your own car. Drachselsried lies roughly in a triangleBodenmais - Kötzting - Viechtach.

We were at the Margeritenhof with 4 people from September 15th to 22nd, 2024. We liked it very much. The food was very tasty and varied. The swimming pool and sauna were also great. That was one of our worst vacations. We stayed in this hotel from September 15th to 22nd, 2024. For a hotel we would have liked at least one service for the drinks. We also didn't think it was okay that some guests stayed at the table during mealtime and started playing games and other guests who came to eat a little later had to wait until some of them got up from their seats and we could finally eat . Unfortunately, in the week we were there, we ate soup twice, which was our dinner, because there was only pasta to choose from, which wasn't in our interest, so they could have provided something other than pasta as a second dish . The supply of fruit was zero. The room where the buffet was set up was much too small for the number of guests and the guests were almost standing on top of each other, so unfortunately this didn't go unnoticed for us. In our home country we carried out a corona test which was positive. With this in mind, we will never visit a hotel again.

We had a more than reasonable full board package deal for ten days, but a higher price wouldn't be justified, the minimum level of hygiene, the food was in the low price range, the staff tried hard, the average age during our stay was over 60, all in all Cheap alternative for price-conscious pensioners, for me personally it's nothing, I'd rather have one or two euros more

Unfortunately the dinner is not good at all.It's my first evening here and unfortunately I've never had such a cramp for dinner in a hotel.I'm so disappointed it makes me angry.In every holiday camp without many options you get better food, so unfortunately it was significantly worse than any canteen food, comparable to the food at a gas station in the deep east.By the way, I have to add to my criticism that I usually never express any, as I am relatively easy to please.In other words, the food was just bad, it would be better if I hadn't eaten anything...Suggestion: rather just soup for the guests and sell it as a detoxification wellness weekend!

Overall the hotel is in need of renovation. You could create an environment in which you feel comfortable with a new floor, painted walls and new (garden) furniture.The food is definitely not nutritious. At breakfast there were hardly any vegetables and fruit to be found at the buffet. The rolls correspond to the pastries you get in a cheap discount store. The sausage can also be found prepackaged in the store. The eggs are from chickens that have certainly never seen daylight. For dinner there was only frozen food. This wasn't even seasoned. The sauce was soggy and definitely from a packet. How can you offer pangasius fillet to hotel guests? My tip: EVERYONE would benefit from a rich breakfast menu and no “evening buffet”. The cake for the afternoon was a ready-made product and the coffee tasted just right. We imagined everything inclusive was different. The drinks weren't really drinkable.Now to the rooms: bath towels were dirty and the bed linen had holes. The rooms were nice and spacious, but also worn out. Room service was twice a week, even though the offer advertised every 2 days.The employees tried very hard. However, communication was difficult due to a language barrier.

The room was ok after we had to have it cleaned again. Thick dust, dead flies in the tub, etc. It wouldn't have been so bad if the food had been good. It's really bad unless you like frozen foods and packaged meals all the time. Even the carrots in the pasta salad were frozen. Some canteen food is better. It's ok if you do something in between, but just??? The selection wasn't great either, if it had been good I wouldn't have minded. You book a Bavarian country hotel and get Bavarian cream out of the bag 🤢The hotel gives the impression that there is no one there who cares. There is a couch in the hallway that belongs in the trash. The pillows at the reception too. But apparently nobody sees it!!! Everything would look better if the rot was disposed of. See pictures.The massage and facial were great. The employees are hard-working and friendly. Still never again!!!

Once and never again!!!Rooms without balconies, rooms are stuffy and warm!Beds are two single beds pushed together on rollers that roll apart when moved. Dining room is far too small for the number of guests and could only eat at the second attempt.I don't even want to talk about WiFiAt 8 a.m. the cleaner is already in the room. In summary, one of the worst holidays I have experienced.

Unfortunately, room 103 was very dirty. Lots of mold in the bathroom window. The carpeting was dirty and full of stains. The curtains would benefit from a washing machine. The curtain rods are broken. The mattresses are worn out. Rooms very dark and the patio furniture is very old. Staff very friendly and food adequate according to the hotel stars.
