An old castle is used as a hotel and restaurant. Great. The old building is impressive. All the staff were very warm and friendly. Our room wasn't very exciting, but super clean. The breakfast buffet was good. Bread, rolls, muesli, quark, yoghurt, fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage, cheese, jam and honey etc. everything was available. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Quite a nice hotel, but everything is pretty old fashioned. Maybe the right address for those nostalgic for the 80s.

Very nice hotel. My room was more 80s in terms of furnishings, but clean and spacious. Breakfast is great! Huge selection of goodies. The hotel is very well located above Bollendorf. There is a beer garden in the large inner courtyard. Recommendation!

The previous reviews were just far too negative for me. Everyone should be aware that this is an old building and it is not called a CASTLE for nothing. But: Hats off to what the owner has already renovated here. There is even a small elevator as an alternative to the medieval spiral staircase. Admittedly, it jerks a bit when starting and stopping, but that gives it a very personal charm. The modern (for a castle) furnished rooms and (still) traditionally designed service rooms form a perfect symbiosis in the castle. The friendliness of the staff leaves nothing to be desired. The restaurant must have a top chef. Our room 82 faced the courtyard and we heard absolutely nothing from the street or the neighboring rooms. Flat-screen TV and WiFi rounded off the ambience well. The little quirks in the equipment - it's not worth writing about. We felt very comfortable here and if we were to come back to the area, we would definitely book here again. Kind regards again to the owners of Dana & Jörg

The hotel is located right on the main road, which is busy even at night. So very loud on the street side. The breakfast was rather bland. Cold scrambled eggs and canned fruit salad with a matchy kiwi. On the second day a larger tour group came and the scrambled eggs were warm and the fruit salad was fresh. You'll look in vain for sweets, croissants or something similar. Only bread and baked rolls.Rooms are getting old and the facility needs a new coat of paint. Otherwise a nice hiking area
