Hotel Zur Post Meerfeld

Beautiful, lovingly run hotel with a small and fine wellness area. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The food is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired. The surrounding area is perfect for a hiking holiday. We felt completely comfortable!

Good food and very friendly service

We had wonderful days at the Hotel zur Post in Meerfeld! The food is so delicious, the service is super nice, the pool and wellness area is wonderful. And the surroundings with the Maarsee are beautiful anyway. Many thanks to the Molitor family and their employees. :-)

A very good hotel in Meerfeld, just a few steps away from the Meerfelder Maar. Everything is very well maintained and you can see the great commitment of the Molitor family of hoteliers in every little thing. The kitchen and the wellness area are particularly noteworthy (swimming pool from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., sauna from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

A great hotel. Clean rooms, maybe a bit old-fashioned but everything you need, very good food, friendly staff, very good location.

Thank you very much for this beautiful, unforgettable and relaxing time at the Hotel die Post in Meerfeld! We were there for 6 days last week and are thrilled with the hotel and especially with the beautiful atmosphere with a feel-good character and the friendliness of the hotel management and staff. The family-run hotel is located in beautiful nature and became a cozy home for us for our week of vacation, where we could completely relax and unwind. The Molitor family runs the hotel with a lot of passion and attention to detail. There are many little things that have been thought of to make your stay in your house as pleasant as possible (e.g. wellness bag with bathrobe etc., umbrella and hiking gear to borrow, candles on the table, name cards, etc.). The surrounding nature invites you to hike and explore. Not far away is Eltz Castle, the beautiful town of Cochem with the Reichsburg from which you can reach the particularly beautiful town of Beilstein with Metternich Castle by boat on the Moselle, Manderscheid Castle is in the neighboring town and many numerous, natural hiking routes invite you to the surrounding area Explore one. The Meerfelder Maar is a beautiful place to unwind.The staff and service staff are very friendly, attentive, professional and very warm. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and drinks and egg dishes are requested every morning by the hard-working service staff with a smile on their faces. So we were able to start the day well strengthened and in a good mood. The room was equipped with a large, comfortable bed and had a balcony. The bathroom with shower is perhaps in a slightly older style, but that didn't bother us as everything had been thought of there too, it wasn't worn out in any way and, like the entire room, it was very clean and tidy. The room cleaning comes daily upon request. We particularly liked the wellness area. Newly built/renovated you can completely relax and find peace in the modern and clean ambience. Next to the pool there is a steam sauna, 2 Finnish saunas, a brine room, a foot bath, a relaxation room, a roof terrace, always enough towels and water and tea for free use! Our greatest praise goes to the house cook. In addition to the delicious breakfast, we had a top-class 3-course menu every evening with our half board. We would highly recommend this to everyone! The food was a pleasure and we looked forward to being treated to culinary delights every day. We were thrilled by the freshness, regionality, quality, creativity and the fine and well-coordinated dishes. It was beyond delicious. Outstanding! I fell in love with this top chef's soup, sauces and nightstands.I ate the best salmon with saffron sauce there in my life! There is also a diverse wine list with regional, delicious wines to try.We would without question spend our next vacation in the Vulkaneifel again at the Hotel die Post. Hopefully see you next time!

Were guests at the hotel for the first time. The Molitor family and the staff are very attentive and friendly.The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The selection is huge.The dinner, we had half board, was varied and the quality and taste was top.The wellness area and swimming pool are very high quality. We will definitely vacation there again.

Was very nice and perfect for day trips

Absolutely recommended for those who enjoy peace, good food and walks. Cozy family hotel with nice wellness and super relaxation area on the top floor. Wife very friendly, her husband is a master chef! He can cook well! Incredible. By far the best chef we know in a hotel. Especially when it has snowed, beautiful view. Recommended!
