We were immediately impressed by Haus Romantik. The rooms are spacious and extremely tastefully furnished and decorated with love by Johanna. The welcome from Johanna and Reinhard in the cozy, warm house was just as warm. Reinhard fired up the wood stove for us, so we felt very comfortable in the house despite the bad weather. Beautiful hiking trails, a romantic carriage ride and a visit to the nearby alpaca farm made our vacation unforgettable. We were thrilled by Johanna and Reinhard's hospitality and we are already looking forward to our next holiday in the mudinger holiday home.

Put this way: It doesn't really get any better. We stayed in the Schlamminger holiday home over New Year's Eve. We fell in love with the house from the first minute. It is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The location is beautiful. What makes the whole thing really perfect are the great hosts, such a nice and loving family who do everything for us your guests do we will definitely come back

Very nice house in a very quiet location. Nothing was missing during our stay from August 25th, 2022 to September 2nd, 2022. The Schmelziger family were very nice, friendly and good hosts, with good tips for excursions and other activities. The house was very clean and the furnishings are modern and high quality, nothing is missing. The house includes a parking space for a car and a garage for storing bikes. We will definitely come back again for a vacation. Thank you again for the homemade specialties and the lovely relaxing holiday.Kerstin and Udo

Wonderful cottage in a quiet location. My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here. We were greeted extremely friendly and immediately felt at home. The interior design is a dream. Modern, high quality, very well maintained, clean... Simply feel good.The terrace in front of the house is also positive.The blueberry Datschi, which the hostess freshly prepared for us, was also very tasty.Good service and always approachable.We would love to come back and would definitely recommend this experience.

Dear Schmelzinger familyIt was really nice with you, we were warmly welcomed and had very tasty cake, the children really enjoyed playing in the garden and exploring the house 😊 little Viktor even wanted to water your dog in the garden 😄 but he had the most He liked picking and eating the blackberries 😊 he didn't even want to leave there :) it was really nice there, he was able to sleep better at night and woke up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning 😊We would like to take a vacation here :)Katja & Alex & Viktor & Aaron Sitner love him

We were warmly welcomed by Johanna Schmelzinger with a delicious blueberry datschi and cappuccino and felt at home right from the start - the clean holiday home is a good starting point for tours to the Upper Bavarian Forest and cities like Regensburg, Cham or St. Englmar. A big recommendation, especially for those looking for peace and quiet!

The holiday home is idyllically located on the edge of the forest and is prepared so that the guest arrives and feels comfortable. The Schmelzinger family is incredibly friendly and happy to give tips for things to do. We spent wonderful days here and will definitely come back.

If Corona has any advantage, it is that we have found this wonderful gem.For the first time we spent our vacation in a holiday home.We were welcomed with a strawberry cake with fruit from the hotel's own garden and a freshly brewed cappuccino. Johanna Schmelzinger treated us like friends from the start, as did her husband Reinhard, who had very intensive conversations with my husband. One evening, on the occasion of our daughter Lena's birthday, we were served a great five-course menu.The quality of the house corresponds to a 4* superior hotel. We normally appreciate a breakfast buffet, but with this modern kitchen, it was so much fun to cook that we looked forward to it every day.We were able to enjoy our breakfast on the beautiful terrace almost every day.The bed and sofa are very comfortable, we slept wonderfully and were woken up every day by the chirping of the birds.The bathroom is equipped with everything you need, including a hairdryer and enough towels that lasted us for the whole nine days.We will definitely come back, possibly in winter, but next year at the latest.Thank you Johanna and Reinhard, Lena and Anna for a very special holiday with friends.Nick, Gerlinde and Amanda Nolte

Very friendly & super helpful host family regarding our holiday activities. Great opportunities for leisure activities in the beautiful Bavarian Forest, such as idyllic cycling or hiking tours on well-developed paths, were extremely relaxing for us.The house is well maintained and extremely well equipped with a fantastic view. The elegant professional kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. In short: we immediately felt at home and in very good hands - simply unique!

I wouldn't even give a star if I could.I booked my girlfriend's holiday home through booking. For a total of 4 nights. But we had to leave earlier for personal reasons. I tried several times to reach someone from the Schmelzinger family. When I finally reached someone, Ms. Schamminger's husband said he would quickly come over to the holiday home (the holiday home is the neighboring house of the Schmelzinger family). Your husband waived us some money because we left early. We personally didn't want that at all. We just wanted to know where we should put the money or what we should do with it, because neither of them felt obliged to accept the amount for the accommodation. Of course we thanked him for that and wanted to leave straight away. Now I get an email in which I transfer the amount that the man gave us back. I'm confronted with text messages that say fraud and everything. I'm really angry that people would do something like that. To give me a deadline by when I should transfer the amount. We were unable to do anything about this matter and are now being held responsible.What else bothered us personally about the holiday home?The “house” itself is beautiful. The facility would also be great if a few things were changed. There is a very uncomfortable couch inside. The armchair, which is also part of the inventory, squeaks every time you want to sit down and it is also uncomfortable. The curtains are old and therefore no longer look nice. Unfortunately, you can't watch Netflix and Amazon Video on the television because you can't connect to the internet. The “house” itself is nice and bright. No wonder there is a “glass front” inside. You feel like you're constantly being watched by the Schmelzinger family because the front is aligned exactly with the Schmelzinger's house. The man walks past the holiday home very often and constantly looks in. We put down the blinds but even then you feel like you're being watched. The house doesn't have a good parking space. You have to carry all your things over a small "hill" to get to the house. The garage is used as a parking space by the Schmelzinger family, who have their own.Overall, I'm very disappointed with the "vacation" we had there. And above all, I'm really angry with the Schmelzinger family. We definitely won't be coming here to vacation again!!
