Considering that the operator has several generations behind himRejection if something cannot be done.I wouldn't go on vacation for an overnight stay.

Tasty, cozy and everything clean. I can't understand the bad reviews - the owners farm themselves, respect for that. If you expect star cuisine in a Harz inn, you should probably just go somewhere else.

Was there with the family. We ordered cream puffs, waffles and a currywurst. The dogs were also allowed in. A very friendly innkeeper and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately, I also fell into the trap and didn't read any reviews beforehand.Since dogs aren't allowed in the mining museum, I had to kill time somehow during the tour, so why not at the Berlin Bear. I don't think it's a big deal that there is self-service (in the outdoor area) here in times of staff shortages. At least the ice cream and beer were certainly far from a culinary masterpiece, but also not as bad as is sometimes portrayed here.Unfortunately, processing the payment was awkward because I wanted to pay by card.A sign was then placed in front of my face saying: no card paymentsIt would certainly have been nice to have this on display at the time of ordering. When I then said that I had to organize cash first, they suddenly produced an EC device. My card was then refused because it contained a Visa Co badge at the savings bank. They don't want that and gave me my card back.I think it's just time for the owners to arrive in the here and now and pass the baton. Friendliness, excessive demands and this almost cheeky behavior simply do not fit into today's zeitgeist.

We were on holiday in the mine opposite and felt like having coffee etc. A huge poster on the main street advertises various items such as cream puff specialties. After a short walk we were there and from the outside the hotel gave the impression that it was closed. The terrace was untidy, weeds were growing between the old exposed concrete slabs, and the few pieces of furniture outside were probably 25 years old. (Wouldn't be a problem if cared for)When asked whether it was open outside, the answer was harsh that you would have to get the things yourself. OK.We ordered 3 cream puffs, 1 sundae and 1 cocoa. Because it wasn't on the menu, I asked if there was also a coffee with milk. This has been confirmed. When I was allowed to pick up the order I discovered that the milk coffee was just a cup of coffee with milk. I expected this to be a little different. The “cream puff specialty” was a joke. The dough itself was so crispy that one had the suspicion that it was a “slightly” older product. None were fresh. Serving something like that borders on ripping off tourists. When we complained when paying that we were a bit disappointed because of the quality, we were told that this couldn't be the case.Actually you should give this 0 stars.

We stopped by several times for coffee or dinner, and when you consider that the two of them run and host everything themselves for the most part, you can only take your hat off. In any case, we were very satisfied and the food was very tasty. What should you do if the staff is missing, then the desired service cannot be provided. We would love to come back and dogs are welcome there too.

I ordered cream puffs and a waffle...the cream puff was dry and filled with spray cream...a no go....The waffle was as if it had been warmed up and the coffee also tasted warmed up, like it came from a thermos..... .We don't go there anymore...it's a shame, otherwise it's a lovely place to sit...
