Nice little guesthouse, family run. Room pickobello, the terrace can be used for breakfast or a social get-together. Breakfast well stocked - everything you need for a good start to the day. Our dog was also welcome and was even allowed into the breakfast room, many thanks to Ms. Baumann

Rooms were ok. The mattress was very hard, but you could sleep surprisingly well. The shower was a bit small depending on the room.

The location of the guesthouse is very nice and the attached restaurant and winery are also very nice and everyone is nice. Unfortunately the rooms are exactly the opposite. There is no mattress protection and so you only lie on the mattress separated by the fitted sheet. Very unpleasant and unhygienic. There was no socket in the bathroom and the one in front of the door fell out of the wall when I tried to use it. Mold on the shower wall. Sink drains poorly. Breakfast is available from 8 a.m. but we had to wait until 8:30 a.m. for rolls. Not for early risers. Nothing labeled. It's a shame because you could do more with the pension. I won't come back.

Mega location right in the Steigerwald! Here you can find peace and switch off! We always recommend our customers to Pension Margarete if they need accommodation!

We booked the guesthouse for a weekend holiday via an internet platform and it was rated really well. The guesthouse is beautifully situated in nature, the view of the game reserve during breakfast was great. There is no cell phone reception, but that didn't bother us on vacation. Unfortunately, we didn't have the advertised WiFi reception in our room. The room was rather rustically furnished and quite old, which isn't a bad thing per se. Unfortunately, the hygiene wasn't quite there, e.g. the mattress in the bed was stained, which you could see through the light-colored fitted sheet, so no mattress protector was used. Lying on strange spots, no thanks. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room and especially in the bathroom, which couldn't be removed even by ventilating. Very unpleasant for us non-smokers. Therefore, unfortunately we would not come back again.

We spent 2 nights with friends in the guesthouse, which is an ideal starting point for hiking/biking tours in the Steigerwald and trips to Würzburg or Bamberg. The rooms are large and clean. …
