This hotel is ideal for hikers, cyclists and anyone who simply wants to switch off for a few days. It was really great how the host looked after us when we returned after a long tour. The food and breakfast are great and leave nothing to be desired. We were also given great “insider tips” and suggested hiking routes that perfectly suited our wishes.Thank you again for your lovely support, we would love to come back to explore the Westerwald! :-)

We were here for dinner on a Thursday and it was schnitzel day. We ate very well and tasty. It was so plentiful that we didn't manage to eat it all, but it would be nice to pack up to take with us. The price matches the delicious and very fresh food. The pilsner and the country beer on tap were very well tapped, nice and cool and tasty. The landlord/boss is in a good mood and nice so you can look forward to a chat. We'll definitely be back, even on Sundays for lunch. We will be happy to do that.

The rooms are very old and not really nice. If it were cheaper I wouldn't complain. But for €85 per night you can get much better hotels in this area. Real hotels

We were there for a dinner party. The buffet had a large selection, sufficient in quantity and good except for the vegetables. The taste of the vegetables or salad was not enough for my taste. Of course it could also be due to purchasing

Very friendly owners, good service. We very much regret that there is only breakfast available, because the food was always a highlight, but we completely understand and wish you all the best and would be happy to come back.

We have stayed there several times now. The rooms vary in age, but are always clean. The greeting and staff are friendly and you feel welcome. The breakfast was very good and we were even offered fried or scrambled eggs.What we didn't like was that not every guest adhered to the hygiene regulations at the breakfast buffet and unfortunately the staff didn't react either.Apart from that, we would love to come back.

We were there with 14 people for Sunday brunch. The seating is very comfortable, not at all cramped or anything like that... restaurants often try to fit as many people as possible into one room, especially at the buffet. That was absolutely not the case here. Nice service and good food. We all had a pleasant day.

We were here for a few days hiking with a small group. Even the preparation was a lot of fun with the hotel. The transport service offered works perfectly. The food was good and you always felt safe, even in times of Corona.

Good price-quality ratio in terms of food. Don't expect culinary delights.We had the idea from the website that there was a reasonable playground for the children, but that is disappointing. With a detour we were able to reach a swing and a sandbox. But that was all. Not ideal for letting the children play.

Just crossing the Westerwald or traveling to and from a destination there can be a memorable experience. As a tour group we went on an excursion bus to have lunch at the hotel restaurant in Heisterholz. I was completely satisfied with the food served, the service but also with the charming landscape surrounding the house. I would like to come back.
